Ubisoft acknowledged a limited number of Rainbow Six Siege players having trouble inviting or accepting invitations from specific friends in February 2025. The available evidence does not establish whether the problem is still affecting players on October 8, 2026. Ubisoft’s general service-status page displayed “No Issues” for every listed platform in a snapshot updated October 5, 2026, but that broad status is not a guarantee that every invite works.
What Ubisoft acknowledged about Siege invites
In a Rainbow Six Siege Player Support thread opened on February 19, 2025, a player reported that invitations disappeared when accepted. On February 24, Ubisoft developer Ubi-Orion said, “The team are aware of a handful of players who have had issues inviting and accepting invites from specific friends over the last few days.” Read the Steam support thread.
That statement described a limited, historical issue involving particular friends. It did not establish a game-wide outage, identify a cause, or confirm a fix for every affected player. The available information also does not show whether the same problem is active now.
Check service status, but interpret it narrowly
Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege status page showed “No Issues” for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One in a display updated October 5, 2026. Check the Rainbow Six Siege service-status page.

This is a general platform status view, not an invite-specific diagnostic. An all-clear can help rule out a broadly reported service problem, but it cannot establish that every player or friend pairing can send and accept invitations.
Steps to try when an invitation disappears
- Check the service-status page. Look for a current platform issue, while keeping in mind that an all-clear does not rule out an isolated invite failure.
- Confirm the friend and platform details. Check that you are inviting the intended friend and note the platforms involved. In the documented PC case, Ubisoft support also asked the player to check Ubisoft Connect for pending notifications. See the support exchange.
- For PC, work through Ubisoft’s suggested checks. Its support reply recommended checking system requirements, updating Ubisoft Connect, installing the game and launchers on the same drive, allowing the game and Ubisoft Connect through antivirus or firewall software, following Ubisoft’s connectivity guidance, and trying administrator permissions. - Report the problem if it persists. Send Ubisoft the steps needed to reproduce it, what you expected to happen, any workaround, and supporting evidence such as a screenshot or video. Ubisoft directs Siege players to its dedicated bug reporter. Open the Rainbow Six Siege bug reporter.
What to include in a useful bug report
Make the report specific enough for someone else to follow the same invitation flow. Include:

- The platforms involved and which player sends or accepts the invite.
- The steps that lead to the failure, including where the invite is sent or viewed.
- What you expected and what happened instead—for example, whether the invite disappears when accepted.
- Whether you found a workaround, plus a screenshot or video if available.
Ubisoft’s guidance asks for reproduction steps, expected behavior, workarounds, and supporting images or video. Submit details through the Siege bug reporter.
