For Ranked, the useful answer is to choose an operator for the job your lineup needs: hard breaching, intel, flank watch, or clearing defender utility. This guide ranks a practical shortlist by team value and flexibility, while separating current-season evidence from older editorial tier lists.
Updated for the Y11S3.1 snapshot dated September 24, 2026. Rankings below are role-based recommendations, not official Ubisoft standings or a claim about current pick, win, or ban rates.
Who are the best attackers in Rainbow Six Siege X?
For broadly useful Ranked picks, start with Ace for hard breach, Dokkaebi for intel and disruption, Nomad for flank watch, Grim for area information and pressure, Ram for vertical destruction, and Solid Snake when his tools fit the lineup. This is a role-based shortlist, not a verified strongest-to-weakest ordering for Y11S3.1.
Ubisoft’s operator roster is organized by specialties, rather than by a universal power ranking: Rainbow Six Siege operator roster. A pick that is excellent for opening a reinforced wall may be less useful than flank watch or intel on a different site.

How this ranking weighs attacker value
Eliminations matter, but they do not capture everything an attacker contributes. Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege team noted in its June 26, 2026 Ranked 3.0 discussion that “Hard support, gathering intel, flank watch, and playing different Operators are just as impactful on gameplay as eliminations, but don’t have stats like KDA to reflect those skills.” See Ubisoft’s Community Checkpoint discussion.
- Role and team value: Does the operator open the site, gather information, protect the push, or remove obstacles for teammates?
- Objective fit: Does the operator’s kit address the map, bomb site, and defender setup?
- Reliability: Can the operator still help if the first approach is denied, and does the pick work with a coordinated squad or in solo queue?
- Execution cost: How much communication, game knowledge, or mechanical skill does the operator need to produce value?
- Fragging potential: Important, but not a stand-in for the other contributions.
Ranked attacker shortlist by role
Ace — dependable hard breach
Ace belongs near the top of a general-purpose shortlist because hard breach can make otherwise difficult sites attackable. His value is especially clear when the lineup needs an opening through reinforced defenses; coordinate with teammates so the breach supports an actual entry or execute rather than becoming a disconnected opening.
Rank #2
His place in older lists reflects editorial opinion, not proof of current-season dominance. Game Over Interactive’s Y11S2.3 snapshot reported Ace banned in 48% of Ranked games, but that is the publisher’s reported figure for its 2026 snapshot—not an official Ubisoft statistic and not evidence of his Y11S3.1 ban rate. Dokkaebi — intel and disruption
Dokkaebi is a strong consideration when the team needs information and pressure on defender communications. She can help turn uncertainty into a coordinated push, but her value depends on teammates acting on the information rather than treating it as a substitute for map control.
Rank #3
- The Elite Edition includes: - Access to Quick Match, Unranked, and Dual Front game modes with a selection of operators - Access to competitive modes: Ranked playlists and Siege Cup* - Instant unlock of 16 additional operators
- Alternate between attack and defense, adapting your approach to operators and maps. Feel the thrill and intensity of the action as you leverage next-level destruction and gadgetry to outsmart your opponents in every round.
- Destruction is more than chaos: it is a key tool for your success. Use the environment to your advantage – turn walls into windows of opportunity.
- Engage in intense 6v6 battles, where attackers and defenders fight side by side and push to capture enemy sectors while defending their own.
- Access to Ranked and Siege Cup is unlocked at level 50. Dual Front mode is not supported on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
Nomad — flank watch
Nomad offers a way to guard the team’s rear while attackers focus on the objective. That can be especially valuable when a push takes time or the lineup lacks another reliable way to watch rotations. Her contribution is often preventive: denying or warning about a flank may matter even when it does not produce an elimination.
Grim — information and area pressure
Grim is part of the six-operator S tier in Dexerto’s Y11S2 guide. Consider him when the lineup needs to gather information or pressure an area during a push. That earlier editorial placement is a useful historical signal, not confirmation of his exact Y11S3.1 standing.
Rank #4
- Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege X is the undisputed reference in tactical team shooters, where elite strategy and execution triumph.
- Siege X marks the biggest evolution in its history, and deepens the game’s tactical core.
Ram — vertical destruction
Ram also appeared in Dexerto’s Y11S2 S tier. Her role-based case is strongest when the site and map make destruction from above a meaningful way to dislodge defenders or create pressure. As with any specialist, the site plan should justify the pick.
Solid Snake — lineup-dependent utility
Solid Snake rounds out Dexerto’s Y11S2 S tier. Treat his inclusion as a starting point for evaluation rather than a guarantee that he is the right pick in every lineup; the available current-season evidence does not establish a Y11S3.1 position for him.

What older tier lists can—and cannot—tell you
Dexerto’s June 23, 2026 Y11S2 guide placed Ace, Dokkaebi, Grim, Nomad, Ram, and Solid Snake in its S tier. It is the most directly relevant named attacker ranking in the available evidence, but it predates Y11S3.1 and is an editorial list, not official Ubisoft data. Read it as a dated baseline, not a current-season verdict: Dexerto’s Rainbow Six Siege operator tier list.
Game Over Interactive says its tier-list approach considers operator play and bans before accounting for balance changes. Its Y11S2.3 snapshot also reported Hibana at 32% pro presence. That figure is the publisher’s editorial snapshot, not a Ubisoft statistic, and does not establish current Y11S3.1 performance. Source: Game Over Interactive’s attacker tier list.
Siege.gg’s February 22, 2026 “Top 5” list named Goyo, Ace, Azami, Mute, and Dokkaebi. Because it mixes attackers and defenders and predates later balance changes, it is not a direct attacker-only ranking for this season: Siege.gg’s Top 5 operators list.
Who should I pick on attack in Ranked?
- Identify the lineup’s missing job. If no one can open reinforced defenses, prioritize hard breach; if the team needs information or protection from flanks, choose for those needs instead.
- Match the operator to the site and approach. Consider whether the plan depends on a breach, vertical pressure, intel, or holding a safe route for the execute.
- Factor in coordination. Pick tools you and your teammates can use together; a theoretically useful ability has less value if no one can act on it.
- Adjust after the defense is revealed. The right choice depends on the actual site and setup, not just an operator’s general reputation.
Why the season date matters
Ubisoft says its latest release is Year 11 Season 3, Operation Split Fire, and its roadmap was last updated September 23, 2026. Ubisoft’s July 16, 2026 mid-season update says operator balancing is intended to support fair competitive play, improve versatility, and cement operators’ roles in a lineup. Because balance changes can alter those roles, any tier list should name its season and patch rather than present a timeless order. See Ubisoft’s roadmap and update information and Ubisoft’s July 16 mid-season update.
A current Y11S3.1 tier-list search result dated September 24, 2026 does not expose an attacker ordering or performance dataset. No primary Ubisoft attacker pick-rate, win-rate, or ban-rate dataset is established here. As a result, the shortlist above should not be read as a data-backed current meta ranking.
