Pokémon HOME: How to Fix Error Codes 10015 and 2-ALZTA-0005

Nintendo tied error 10015 to a specific 2022 Boxes-and-linking incident. For 2-ALZTA-0005, its support page lists the access error but gives no dedicated repair.

If Pokémon HOME won’t open and shows 10015 or 2-ALZTA-0005, first note when the code appears and check for an update. Nintendo documented a specific 10015 issue from 2022 that an update resolved; its support page lists 2-ALZTA-0005 as an access error but does not give it a separate fix. Do not delete HOME save data for either code: Nintendo’s deletion instructions apply to error 8807.

What to do first

  1. Record the exact code and what you were doing. Note whether it appeared while opening Pokémon HOME, linking HOME to a game, or choosing “Save changes and exit” from the Boxes menu. This context matters because Nintendo’s documented 10015 incident involved a specific Boxes-and-linking sequence.
  2. Check that Pokémon HOME is updated. Use Nintendo’s support instructions for these access errors and its linked update guidance. An update resolved the documented 2022 10015 issue, but Nintendo does not say that updating fixes every later occurrence.
  3. If HOME remains inaccessible, check the Pokémon HOME homepage for current notices. If those do not resolve the problem, submit a request through Nintendo’s Pokémon Support route.

Error 10015: what Nintendo’s documented fix covers

Nintendo says certain users encountered error 10015 after selecting “Save changes and exit” in the Boxes menu while linking Pokémon HOME to a game during an incident from May 17 through May 26, 2022 (PDT). Nintendo released an update on May 26, 2022, which it says resolved that issue. That is a historical, narrowly described cause—not confirmation that every current 10015 error has the same cause.

If your error follows that kind of Boxes-and-linking action, make sure HOME is updated. If the code continues, or appears in a different situation, use Nintendo’s current support guidance rather than assuming the old incident explains it.

Error 2-ALZTA-0005: what to try

Nintendo includes 2-ALZTA-0005 among the codes associated with being unable to access Pokémon HOME on Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch. The cited support article does not describe a code-specific repair for it. Check for current HOME notices and follow Nintendo’s support route if access remains unavailable; do not apply a remedy intended for a different code.

Do not delete save data for these codes

Nintendo’s instruction to delete Pokémon HOME save data on the console is specifically for error 8807, not 10015 or 2-ALZTA-0005. The same Nintendo article says that deleting save data for 8807 will not affect Pokémon deposited in HOME, but that reassurance is attached to the 8807 procedure. It is not a reason to delete data when either code in this article appears.
