Rainbow Six Mobile launched worldwide on February 23, 2026, and is available free on iOS and Android. It brings Rainbow Six’s 5v5 attacker-versus-defender format to phones, with touch-focused controls, destructible environments, and a published minimum of Android 9 with 4 GB of RAM or an Apple A12 processor. The “Updated April, 2024” date in the original title is historical and predates the game’s launch.
Is Rainbow Six Mobile out yet?
Yes. Ubisoft made Rainbow Six Mobile available worldwide on February 23, 2026. The free-to-play game is available for iOS and Android. Check the Apple App Store or Google Play in your country for the current listing and whether your device is supported.
What is Rainbow Six Mobile?
It is a mobile tactical first-person shooter built around 5v5 rounds: one team attacks while the other defends. Operators bring distinct abilities and gadgets into matches, where teams use breaching, traps, cameras, destructible surfaces, and routes through or above the map to pursue objectives.
Modes and match structure
At launch, Ubisoft listed Bomb, Bomb Rush, and Team Deathmatch, with Quick Play, Ranked, and Private match options. Ubisoft Support describes short best-of-three rounds in Bomb and Secure Area, but its overview may not reflect seasonal changes. For the current mode lineup, check Ubisoft’s latest in-game and update information rather than assuming the launch list remains unchanged.

Maps and operators
The February 2026 launch announcement named Siege-inspired maps Bank, Border, Clubhouse, Oregon, and Villa, alongside mobile-exclusive Restaurant and Summit. Ubisoft described the launch roster as more than 20 Operators, including Ash, Dokkaebi, and Mute. These are launch-era details, not a guaranteed current map or roster count. In a June 2, 2026 season announcement, Ubisoft said Operation Gray Phantom introduced Finka, rotating 3v3 modes, the Veil Protocol event, and a Battle Pass; that is a dated season snapshot, not confirmation of the October 2026 live season.
Can your phone run Rainbow Six Mobile?
Ubisoft Support lists these minimum requirements. Meeting them does not guarantee a particular frame rate or consistently smooth performance.

These are Ubisoft’s published minimums, not a guarantee that every device with the listed operating system or chip will perform identically. Before downloading, check the current App Store or Google Play listing for your exact model and region. Ubisoft’s support page provides its device guidance.
How are the controls and audio adapted for mobile?
The game is designed for touch input. Ubisoft Support says players can customize the HUD, choose presets, configure the gadget view separately from the main view, and enable or disable interface elements. These options let players adjust what appears on screen and where.

Ubisoft Montréal says the team combined actions to reduce screen clutter. For example, a lean slider lets a player aim and lean with a thumb gesture rather than requiring separate buttons for each action. That is a mobile-specific adaptation of the tactical controls, not a claim that touch input is identical to playing Rainbow Six Siege on PC or console.
Sound is another part of reading a match. An on-screen audio compass indicates broad zones for sounds such as footsteps and explosions; it does not pinpoint an enemy’s location, and Ubisoft developers say it cannot fully replace hearing the game. Team lead programmer Cameron Penner recommended headphones for players who want to hear what is happening. Headphones are optional, and no particular model has been tested here.

Is Rainbow Six Mobile free?
Yes. Ubisoft Support describes the game as entirely free to play. Free access does not mean every optional purchase or payment route is available everywhere. Ubisoft says its official web store, powered by Coda Payments, operates in a limited number of countries; available packages can vary by payment gateway, and prices may differ by local currency. Check the official store for your country for current availability and pricing.
