When was the REMATCH beta?
Sloclap announced the final beta on May 22, 2025. Its scheduled window was May 28 at 12 PM GMT through May 31 at 12 PM GMT, across PC (Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The announcement’s dates and platform details are in Sloclap’s final beta announcement.
The planned open-access period for Steam and PS5 was May 29 and 30. It depended on server capacity, so “free to everyone” did not mean access was guaranteed regardless of server conditions.
Could everyone play on Xbox, PS5, and PC?

Sloclap’s statement about a fully open beta on May 29 and 30 specifically named PC Steam and PlayStation 5. It did not promise open access on Xbox, where the announcement explicitly described a limited-key arrangement.

Is the REMATCH beta still available?
No. The May 2025 beta was a time-limited event and has ended. The full game is a released online team-based football game; Xbox’s listing gives its release date as June 19, 2025. See the Xbox REMATCH listing for the platform’s current product information.
For Xbox console online multiplayer, that listing says Game Pass Core or Ultimate is required and sold separately. This is Xbox-specific information and should not be taken as a subscription requirement for PC or PlayStation.

What is the REMATCH: Elite Edition?
It is a later physical retail edition of the full game, not a way to access the expired beta. Bandai Namco Europe announced REMATCH: Elite Edition for PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, with a November 14, 2025 retail date and distribution in EMEA, Australia, and New Zealand. The announced edition includes bonus digital content such as Captain Pass upgrade tickets and cosmetics. Details are in Bandai Namco Europe’s announcement.
In that October 9, 2025 announcement, Bandai Namco Europe also reported that the game had reached six million unique players in three months. That is the publisher’s reported figure, not an independently audited count.
