Look for Redwood biomes in taiga portal worlds. Hytale’s Update 4 notes say a world-map density change should cause Redwood biomes to appear there, but they do not promise one in every world or provide coordinates. A community listing also points to Tundra and Forest areas in Zone 3; treat that as a secondary search lead.
Where to look for Redwood trees
Start with taiga portal worlds
The clearest official location guidance is in Hytale’s Update 4 patch notes: an adjustment to River & Tile world-map density should result in Redwood biomes appearing within taiga portal worlds. Explore those worlds and watch for Redwood biomes.
Use Zone 3 as a secondary lead
A community Hytale wiki listing associates Redwood with Tundra and Forest in Zone 3. The listing is secondary and does not establish a reliable locator for every generated world, so use it as an additional search lead rather than a guarantee.
What is and is not known about finding them
The official notes describe an expected result of a world-map density adjustment, not a fixed spawn rule. They do not give coordinates, compass directions, or map colors. Hytale describes world generation as curated and procedural, and says its Early Access systems and assets are still changing; details may therefore vary as the game develops. See The Future of World Generation.

Why Redwood Logs may matter
If you are gathering Redwood for progression, Update 3 changed the Farmers Bench requirements: Tier 4 now requires Drywood Log instead of Redwood Log, while Tier 6 requires Redwood Log instead of Drywood Log. The change is documented in Hytale’s Update 3 patch notes. Redwood also has building use: Update 6 patch notes mention Redwood fences in visual and collision fixes.
