Stranger of Sword City Revisited is the enhanced version of Experience Inc.’s dungeon-crawling RPG, included in the 2021 Steam package Saviors of Sapphire Wings / Stranger of Sword City Revisited. The official description lists expanded character creation, additional in-game events, items, and equipment. It is a more content-rich choice than the earlier game on that description alone, but the available reviews cover the original release—not a full review of Revisited’s changes. If you enjoy old-school dungeon-crawler pacing, it merits a look; if you need strong character writing, sustained story momentum, or modern presentation, approach it cautiously.
Which version is this review about?
This review concerns Stranger of Sword City Revisited, the enhanced adventure bundled with Saviors of Sapphire Wings in the Steam package released March 16, 2021. Steam credits Experience Inc. and Codeglue as developers and NIS America as publisher. The original Stranger of Sword City is a separate release; reviews of that version provide context, not a direct verdict on every Revisited-specific change.
