Where to download Resident Evil Requiem for PC
Capcom’s release-day announcement confirmed that the Steam version was available for purchase. Use the official Steam store listing to view the current listing, requirements, and purchase option. - Sign in to the Steam account you intend to use for the game, then purchase it through the listing if you do not already own it.
- Install or open the Steam client, find the game in your Library, and select Install. Choose a drive with enough free space for the installation and any updates.
- After installation, launch the game from your Steam Library.
Capcom describes Resident Evil Requiem as a survival horror game and the ninth main installment in the series, developed with RE ENGINE. Its story centers on FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft and agent Leon S. Kennedy.
Check PC compatibility before installing
Use the requirements displayed on the live Steam listing as the source of truth for the current minimum and recommended specifications. Capcom’s support FAQ directs players there for the requirements; exact CPU, GPU, memory, and storage figures should be read from that listing rather than copied from potentially outdated guides.

- Resident Evil Requiem is the ninth title in the Resident Evil main series. Prepare to escape death in this breathtaking experience that will shake you to the core.
- A new era of survival horror begins in 2026. Technological advancement combined with the vast experience of the development team in combining stories with finely crafted characters and gameplay ensure a more immersive experience than ever before.
- Experience the classic survival horror of the series through combat, investigation, puzzles, and resource management. The gameplay allows you to freely switch between first-person and third-person perspectives and experience the horror from the angle that best suits your playing style.
- It all begins when a corpse--the victim of an unknown disease--is found in an abandoned hotel. Grace Ashcroft, crime analyst at the FBI, is commissioned with the investigation. But the location of the corpse is exactly the place where her mother died eight years ago.
- Nervous of being confronted with her past, Grace sets out for the hotel. As it turns out, the case is linked to the truth behind the misfortune of Raccoon City, the biological catastophile that once shocked the world. Is this chapter finally drawn a final line?
- Compare your processor, graphics hardware, memory, and available storage with Steam’s current requirements.
- Capcom says onboard graphics are not guaranteed to work normally. Do not assume a laptop with integrated graphics will run the game acceptably.
- Capcom also warns that mobile GPUs may perform substantially worse than regular GPUs. A laptop graphics model with a familiar name may not deliver the same performance as its desktop counterpart.
No universal performance guarantee follows from meeting a listed specification; actual results depend on the specific hardware and configuration.
Choose mouse and keyboard or a controller
Mouse and keyboard are supported, and a controller is optional. Capcom lists these controller families for the Steam version:
Rank #2
- Intense horror experience with dark narrative
- Improved images and refined game mechanics included
- Players take on the role of Leon S Kennedy
- Mission to save the president's daughter from danger
- Challenging environments and strategic combat scenarios await
- Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S controllers
- DualShock 4 and DualSense controllers
- Nintendo Switch Pro and Nintendo Switch 2 Pro controllers
Support for a controller does not mean every device-specific feature works on Steam. Capcom notes limitations that can affect features such as adaptive triggers, haptics, touchpad, motion sensors, HD Rumble, and impulse triggers, depending on the controller. If a feature matters to you, consult Capcom’s Steam support FAQ for the device-specific details.

Capcom identifies Steam Cloud as a way to upload a save as a backup. Its FAQ cautions that backups made in local storage are not guaranteed to operate normally, so Steam Cloud is the official backup route described for Steam players. Check Steam Cloud status and let uploads finish before changing devices or reinstalling.
