Yes. EA officially announced EA SPORTS UFC 6 on May 5, 2026, with a June 19, 2026 launch date for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. EA’s current UFC 6 page lists the game as available and links to both console storefronts. The official announcements reviewed do not identify the original rumor or establish who first reported it.
The release announcement came from EA and UFC. UFC’s announcement quoted Nate McDonald, Lead Producer of EA SPORTS UFC 6, describing the game as delivering “a deeper, more dynamic fight experience.” That is the producer’s characterization, not an independent assessment.
What platforms is UFC 6 on?

What does EA say is new in UFC 6?
EA’s feature descriptions focus on fighter movement and identity, impact, and ways to play. These are publisher descriptions rather than independently tested findings.
Movement, striking, and control
In a June 18, 2026 developer interview, Associate Producer Raman Bassi said, “Our goal with UFC 6 was to deepen the authenticity without making it less accessible.” EA says the team reworked combinations and controller responsiveness, pursued more strategic movement, and aimed to make damage and counters more consequential. It also describes onboarding as more intuitive for newcomers.

Motion capture and impact technology
EA says it used markerless motion capture, recording athletes with cameras and computer technology rather than suits covered in markers. The company says it worked with UFC athletes at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas. Its product page also promotes Sapien technology, Frostbite-powered ragdoll physics, and real-time contact.
Flow States and modes
EA lists 30 unique fighter Flow States, which it says reflect individual fighters’ strengths, tendencies, and fight IQ. The product page also names Hall of Legends and The Legacy as features.

Is there post-launch support?
EA’s news page listed a September 23, 2026 “UFC 332 Fight Week and Gameplay Update Blog” as its latest item when reviewed, indicating that official post-launch updates continued after release. That update listing is not evidence of a separate UFC 6 project or a sequel.
