The Call of Duty League returned to Europe during its 2026 season, with Major II in Birmingham, England, and Major IV in Paris, France. Both events have now taken place; the available sources do not establish exact Birmingham tournament dates or confirm another UK or European event after 2026.
Where and when were the 2026 European CDL events?
The league’s official 2026 schedule lists four Majors and a season running from December 5, 2025, through July 19, 2026. Dot Esports’ August 4, 2026 retrospective identifies Major II in Birmingham and Major IV in Paris. The official schedule’s listed Major II stage window is February 13–March 29, 2026, but that broad window does not establish the dates of Birmingham’s live tournament.

Dot Esports also reported 379,533 peak viewers for Paris Major IV, attributing the figure to Esports Charts. This is the reported peak-viewership figure, not a measure of total viewers or attendance.
Was Championship Weekend in Europe?
No. The separate 2026 Championship Weekend was announced for July 16–19 at Michelob ULTRA Arena, Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, in Las Vegas. ESL FACEIT Group’s February 5, 2026 announcement lists a $2 million prize pool. Championship Weekend was a US event, distinct from the Birmingham and Paris Majors.

Does the 2026 return confirm future European events?
No future UK or European dates or ticket plans are confirmed in the sources cited here. Dot Esports paraphrased CDL general manager Daniel Tsay as identifying Europe and Latin America as regions the league is considering for expansion, with hosting dependent on franchises’ willingness and capacity. That indicates interest, not a scheduled return.
