Seed Stages was a limited-time Grow a Garden event that ran from September 27 to October 11, 2025. It added a four-tier evolution path for four crop families: Beetroot, Blueberry, Pumpkin, and Mushroom. The event is over, so its seeds, NPC interactions, shop offers, and rewards should be treated as historical rather than currently available.
How did Seed Stages work?
The official Roblox game listing describes Grow a Garden’s basic loop: buy seeds, plant them, wait for crops to grow, then harvest. It also says the garden continues growing while the player is offline. Seed Stages layered an evolution progression onto that loop.
According to the fan-maintained Seed Stages event reference, Update 1.25.0 introduced the system on September 27, 2025. Players planted eligible Evo seeds, harvested crops, and progressed them through stages. The event reference describes submitting evolved plants for tiered rewards and access to later-stage variants.

Each family’s evolution chain ran from Stage I through Stage IV. Event-specific descriptions and names here come from an unofficial fan reference, not an official Roblox patch note.

What happened after Stage IV?
Stage IV was the top of the documented four-tier chain. The event reference describes submitting evolved plants for tiered rewards and access to later-stage variants, but it does not establish that reaching Stage IV alone automatically granted every reward. A separate, current crop reference describes the general Evo upgrade route as feeding a crop fruit and delivering produced fruit to NPC Samuel to receive the next-stage seed. That describes the progression concept; it does not mean Samuel or these event rewards remain available after Seed Stages ended.
If you are looking at an old guide or screenshot, distinguish between growing a Stage IV plant and completing whatever submission or delivery requirement the particular step called for. The available event reference documents tiered submissions, but does not provide enough detail to establish a universal Stage IV checklist or current way to claim those rewards.

What did the Evo plant stats mean?
The event reference names three Evo-specific attributes. Its explanations connect Plant Health with growth, watering cans or sprinklers with Growth Rate, and feeding produce or food with Size Multiplier. These are descriptions from the fan event reference rather than confirmed official developer documentation.

The reference also says mutations had a chance to carry over between evolution stages. It does not say that every mutation transfers, so a mutated crop was not a guaranteed way to preserve a specific effect through the chain.

Were mutations part of the evolution process?
Yes, in the limited sense that the event reference reports a chance for mutations to carry over when a plant evolved. That does not establish that picking a mutated crop was required to advance a stage, nor does it establish that harvesting one was the only way to earn event points. The cited material does not document the event pass’s full point rules, so there is no supported basis here for a definitive task-by-task reward-maximizing strategy.
How many event crops, creatures, and decorations were listed?
The fan-maintained event reference lists 12 unique crops, 10 event-themed creatures, and 15 decorative items, as well as a Jungle Egg and tiered rewards. These are counts reported by that fan reference, not independently verified official Roblox statistics. The same event page notes variable shop availability; for the completed event, it gives Evo Beetroot I as 100% available and Evo Mushroom I as 8.33% available. Those are historical event-page figures, not current shop odds or guarantees that either seed can now be obtained.

Is Seed Stages active now?
No. The event reference dates Seed Stages from September 27 through October 11, 2025, and marks it completed. The current updates index includes later 2026 content, including Fall Finale / Fall Market Part 3 on October 3, 2026. That later update context does not indicate that Seed Stages returned. Treat old instructions about its seed shop, Samuel interactions, or rewards as instructions for the 2025 event unless a newer source confirms availability.
