Coffee Stain Studios described the update as containing “hundreds of improvements,” spanning controller polish, quality-of-life changes, bug fixes and localization updates—but did not publish an itemized total. It was a test build, and the studio warned that the engine upgrade could cause unexpected bugs or other behavior.
What did the Satisfactory Experimental update add?
The v1.1.3.0 announcement grouped the work into several broad categories rather than listing a complete count of individual changes. The headline’s “hundreds” is Coffee Stain’s characterization, not an independently verified tally.
- Controller polish: improvements to the controller experience were part of the console-originated work reaching PC. The announcement did not name specific controller models or publish a compatibility list.
- Quality-of-life changes: the update included usability improvements, without an itemized list in the announcement.
- Bug fixes and polish: fixes and refinements were included in the bundle.
- Localization updates: the announcement also included localization work.
The build additionally upgraded the game to Unreal Engine 5.6.1. Coffee Stain described the release as substantial: “This experimental is very big in terms of how much work has been put into it.” Read the official Steam announcement archive.
Is the console-originated update on PC yet?
Yes. The changes first reached PC in Experimental v1.1.3.0. They did not necessarily all become available on PC’s default branch at the same time: Coffee Stain said development had happened in parallel, so some changes from recent live patches might not yet be included in Experimental. It said improvements would be consolidated before the Experimental version moved to the default version.

Later patch-history context identifies v1.2.0.0 as the point when console-originated changes were included in the PC version. That is a later milestone than the February 2026 Experimental announcement; the announcement itself is the source for what v1.1.3.0 contained. How to get Satisfactory Experimental on Steam or Epic
Coffee Stain’s instructions for the February 10, 2026 build were platform-specific. Back up your save files before trying the Experimental branch.

- On Steam: open Satisfactory’s Properties, go to Game Versions & Betas, then select the Experimental branch.
- On Epic: find the separate Satisfactory Experimental entry in your library and install it.

Should you try the Experimental build?
Experimental is the test branch, not the same thing as the default PC release. The Unreal Engine 5.6.1 upgrade could bring unexpected bugs or other unexpected behavior, and the studio warned that some changes from recent live patches might not be present yet because work was developed in parallel. Back up your save before switching, as Coffee Stain advised.

If you prefer the default branch, wait for the studio to consolidate the improvements and move them there. The announcement did not quantify performance changes or establish how often players would encounter bugs, so it does not support a prediction about either.

Satisfactory received Steam Deck Verified status on February 13, 2026, according to the official Steam announcement archive, which credits feedback from Coffee Stain Studios, Fishlabs and Valve. That compatibility update is separate from the v1.1.3.0 patch contents; Verified status does not mean a Steam Deck is required to use the update.
