The Steam test used six servers across three sectors, with staggered openings at 02:00, 10:00 and 14:00 UTC. It was expected to run for approximately one month, but the announcement did not give an exact end time.
How players joined the April 24, 2025 playtest
The official Steam notice directed players who had already requested access to check the email address registered with Steam and look for the game in their Steam Library, where they could pre-download it. Players who had not yet requested access could use Steam’s Request Access button. The notice warned that access might close if all slots were filled.
The announcement also cautioned that the available build was not necessarily the final playtest build and could receive updates before the servers opened. These were instructions for that past test; they do not establish a way to join a current test.
Server launch times and recommended time zones
The six servers were grouped into three sectors. Each sector had a scheduled UTC opening time and a recommended time-zone range:

The schedule listed openings in UTC, so players needed to convert the relevant time for their location. The recommended ranges indicate the intended regional fit; the notice did not describe them as access restrictions.
How long the test was expected to run
The official notice said, “The playtest will run for approximately 1 month.” It did not specify a closing date or time, saying the exact end time would be announced later. The duration should therefore be understood as an estimate, not a precise one-month schedule.

What Warborne: Above Ashes is—and what changed afterward
Steam describes Warborne: Above Ashes as a top-down PvP loot-and-extract MMO developed and published by Qooland Games. Its listing says the game is free to play and was released on September 18, 2025. The game’s premise centers on entering the Void Abyss, collecting loot, evacuating and trading recovered goods. The publisher separately reported that the March 2025 playtest drew more than 50,000 players from 128 countries and over 100 guilds. Those figures were published by Qooland Games on April 10, 2025 and refer to the March test—not the April global playtest; they are publisher-reported, not independently audited. In an announcement dated June 5, 2026, the team said it would stop releasing content updates, citing serious operational and business challenges. The team also said that servers would remain online and existing content would stay available. That is the team’s statement; it is not an independent confirmation of live server status.
