Scar-Lead Salvation is no longer an upcoming May 2025 game: Idea Factory International announced a May 29, 2025 launch, and Steam records the PC release on that date. It was announced for PS4, PS5, and Steam, with physical and digital PlayStation editions and a digital Steam release.
When did Scar-Lead Salvation come out?
Idea Factory International announced on February 20, 2025 that Scar-Lead Salvation would launch on May 29, 2025. Steam lists May 29, 2025 as the PC release date. The original announcement described physical and digital releases for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, alongside Steam. What is Scar-Lead Salvation about?
Willow Martin wakes in an unfamiliar facility with no memory of her past or why she is there. An AI speaks to her, but the story leaves open whether it can be trusted. She fights mechanical enemies while trying to escape and uncover what happened.
How does the gameplay work?
The publisher describes a repeat-after-death action loop: when Willow dies, she returns to the beginning and can make another attempt. The facility’s floors have procedurally generated layouts, and players can use weapons, skills, and combat abilities. Dodging and parrying build Exo Force; once it is sufficiently charged, Willow can activate Onslaught Mode, which the publisher says temporarily makes her invincible. These are publisher-described features, not independent performance or gameplay findings. The publisher’s feature description includes the line, “With each death you’ll resurrect where it all started—and maybe learn a little about what happened here in the process.”

The announced platforms were PS4, PS5, and Steam. The publisher’s EU store documents a physical PS4 Standard Edition and identifies PS4 and PS5 console availability. For the PC version, Steam lists Idea Factory, Compile Heart, and Neilo Inc. as developers and Idea Factory International as publisher.
