The November 8, 2024, first-50-gods list for SMITE 2 described a planned rollout of 49 named gods and one unnamed new character. It was a schedule, not a current roster: the first group’s heading also conflicts with its itemized list, so the discrepancy is noted below.

Insider Gaming’s November 8, 2024, article grouped the planned additions into these waves. Its list contains 49 named gods and one entry identified only as “All-New SMITE 2 God (TBA).” The dates and totals below reproduce the reported plan; they are not independently verified release-history claims.

Insider Gaming’s November 8, 2024, list labels the May 2 group “14 gods,” but the names printed beneath that heading total 31. The itemized schedule therefore contains 49 named gods overall, plus the TBA character; the heading’s count does not match its own list.
Is this the current SMITE 2 roster?
No. This is a historical rollout plan, not a reliable present-day availability list. SMITE 2’s roster changes over time, and the official SMITE 2 gods page provides the current roster with pantheon and role navigation. Check that page for which gods are available now; the November 2024 schedule alone does not establish current availability or a current roster total.

The game’s official FAQ search result described 45 gods at open-beta launch, including three characters new to SMITE 2: Hecate, Mordred, and Aladdin. That figure refers to the launch state, not the present roster. Official SMITE 2 FAQ.
What kind of game is SMITE 2?
SMITE 2 is a third-person action MOBA sequel built with Unreal Engine 5. In its official PlayStation Blog description, Titan Forge Games Executive Producer Alex Cantatore calls it “the Unreal Engine 5-powered true sequel to the original hit, Smite.” The 5v5 format uses three lanes, minions, jungle monsters, towers, XP and gold progression, and item choices shaped by Strength or Intelligence. The same January 2024 article said the original SMITE had more than 40 million players and that PlayStation gamers had accumulated more than 45,000 person-years of playtime. Those are publisher-stated historical figures, respectively about the original game’s players and PlayStation playtime—not current audience measurements.
