Later in the game, she may be at her camp in Bellhart. Her current location depends on your progression.
Find Shakra in Bone Bottom
Take the Bellway back to Bone Bottom if that is convenient. From town, head right and climb the platforms just before the exit. Shakra is above the town, according to Nintendo Life’s September 14, 2025 guide.
If she is based at Bone Bottom, the community-maintained Hollow Knight Wiki says you can strike her ring pole to summon her. Try the pole if you reach her camp but do not see her.
Check Bellhart after later progression
Shakra moves to Bellhart after you defeat the Widow or complete The Terrible Tyrant wish, according to the Hollow Knight Wiki. The wiki says this move is permanent: the Bone Bottom ring pole will no longer summon her. Instead, look in Bellhart’s upper-right area, in an alcove beside the Pinmaster’s shop, and use the ring pole at her Bellhart camp if needed.

Nintendo Life’s guide says you can buy missed maps and pins from Shakra at a later encounter or at her fallback location, with availability depending on progression. You do not need to assume that missing one visit means those items are gone for good.
Know which maps Shakra sells
Shakra sells most area maps, but not every map comes from her. The community-maintained map reference says Citadel maps are bought from machines, while some other area maps are found rather than purchased. If you cannot buy a particular map from Shakra, its source may be different.

Get your map to update as you explore
Buying a map and updating it as you explore are separate mechanics. The map reference says an area map starts incomplete; a quill lets it update with newly explored areas, and resting at a Bench updates it. Shakra sells a quill, and the reference also lists Trobbio’s desk as an alternate source if you have not already acquired one.
