To unlock Betty as a Rarity in Slitterhead, find and speak with her in six RE (2nd Loop) missions, then recruit her through the Talk menu. This guide lists each encounter in mission order, with route clues and the points where access or timing matters.
All six Mysterious Old Lady locations
These encounters are in the missions marked RE (2nd Loop), not the ordinary first-loop versions. Mission names may vary by localization, so use the landmarks as well as the names.

| Day 1 — Insect Infestation RE | In the alley beside the foot-massage shop, beyond a metal gate. | From the main street, enter the alley and possess someone on the far side of the gate to get through. The Jade Street sign is another landmark. Speak with Betty before leaving. |
| Day 1 — Oppressive Force RE | On a rooftop near the building first reached by Silver Moon. | During the Yun Jin pursuit, wait until Night Owl points out the rooftop. Return to the main street and use the “The Noodle House” neon sign as a landmark; climb onto it to reach the neighboring building. The route opens during this pursuit segment. |
| Day 2 — Hidden Cave RE | On the right side of the first-floor chapel. | Near the entrance, use stealth and wait until the guard is looking away, or possess someone inside the walls to get past. |
| Day 2 — Sleepless Zone RE | Along the rooftops during the boss pursuit. | Look along the route at the point reached through possession mode. This encounter is close to the mission’s end, so talk to Betty before continuing. |
| Day 3 — Insidious Sucker RE | At the end of the alley on the right after taking control of Alex. | Turn right immediately at the start and check the alley before progressing. |
| Day 3 — Missing Girl RE | In front of a shutter, on the right side of the path near supplies blocking the route. | Check beside the route while following Anita’s trail. |
How to recruit Betty
- Find Betty in each of the six RE (2nd Loop) missions and speak with her. Merely seeing her or passing by does not count.
- After the sixth conversation, open the Talk menu.
- Select the Meeting with the Fairy conversation to recruit Betty as a Rarity.
Cleanup tip
AlGest’s walkthrough recommends returning to the intermission menu after speaking with Betty instead of finishing the rest of the mission. Treat this as a suggested shortcut; the guide does not establish it as a universal rule for every situation.
