In Silksong, Hornet explores the kingdom of Pharloom through platforming, combat, quests, and tool use. Nintendo’s description emphasizes acrobatic action and an expanding arsenal of tools, framing progression around learning the world and adapting how Hornet moves and fights.
Nintendo’s publisher-provided description advertises more than 200 foes and more than 40 bosses. These are the figures in the store description, not independently audited counts. Nintendo also says a Steel Soul mode unlocks after conquering the kingdom.

In December 2025, Team Cherry announced the free Sea of Sorrow expansion for 2026 on its Steam announcement page. That announcement establishes the planned year and that the expansion is free; it does not specify a precise release date or, by itself, establish that the expansion is currently available.
