Where the guiding lights puzzle begins
The objective appears during Silent Grove: Zhailing Islet in Wuling’s Jingyu Valley, after you scan for footprints and follow their markers. When the forest path is blocked, descend the stairs to reach the guiding lights. The objective wording, “Activate the guiding lights and exit the Grove Labyrinth,” is reproduced by the NerdsChalk walkthrough.
Guiding lights activation order
Use the statue on the rise as your reference point, then take the path to its right. The order you activate the lights differs from the order you encounter them while walking: one light must be left for the return trip.
- Activate the light near the top of the stairs, beside the trees blocking the path.
- Continue downhill and activate the next light.
- Pass the next light without activating it. You will return to it later.
- At the fork, take the right-hand branch to the guiding light in the tree-ringed clearing and activate it.
- Turn back to the skipped light and activate it. This is the fourth activation; the exit route opens.
How to identify the skipped light
Keep the statue, descending path, right-hand fork, and clearing in mind rather than relying on one visual description. Walkthroughs describe the later landmarks differently: Wotpack points to a stone-statue landmark and a clearing at the right fork, while TheGamesWatch describes the skipped light as being on the left. TheGamesWatch also cautions against activating a separate light with a green marker nearby, but its wording does not clearly establish how that light relates to the skipped one. Follow the route order above instead of inferring extra landmarks.

What to do if the puzzle resets
A wrong activation resets the puzzle. Return to the first light and repeat the sequence, leaving the third light you encounter unlit until you come back from the clearing. TheGamesWatch reports that there are no enemies in the puzzle area, so you can take time to check each interaction.
