Skydrift Infinity is an arcade aircraft racer built around fast races, weapons, power-ups, and combat modes, with solo, online, and local split-screen play listed on Steam. The available storefront feedback is mixed on Steam and positive on the US PlayStation Store, but those user ratings are different platform samples—not a professional critic consensus. It may suit players looking for quick arcade action or couch multiplayer; PC buyers should also check the system requirements and be aware of user-reported control and resolution complaints.

What kind of game is Skydrift Infinity?

Digital Reality developed Skydrift Infinity, and THQ Nordic Mobile published it. Steam lists its release date as July 29, 2021. The store describes high-speed aircraft races featuring weapons, power-ups, drifting, and deathmatch-style competition. In Steam’s own words, “Skydrift Infinity is an action-packed arcade game focusing on the experience of flying alone, and with others, in a light, quick, fast-paced style.” That is the publisher’s store description, not an independent review.

Steam lists 16 aircraft, six power-ups, five game modes, online multiplayer for up to eight players, and local split-screen. These are features stated on the Steam listing; player counts and feature availability can differ by platform.

What do the reviews say?

The storefront ratings currently provide a mixed picture. In the October 2026 snapshot, Steam labels user reviews “Mixed,” with 69% positive from 62 reviews. The US PlayStation Store displays 4.24 out of 5 from 176 ratings in its October 2026 snapshot. The samples come from different storefront audiences and use different rating systems, so they should not be treated as a head-to-head comparison. Neither figure is a professional critic score.

No independent critic aggregate or sufficiently broad set of professional reviews is established here. The storefront numbers are best read as platform-specific user feedback, not as a definitive verdict on the game.

How does it play, and who might enjoy it?

The listed mix of races, power-ups, and deathmatch-style modes makes this an arcade action game rather than a realistic flight simulator. The appeal is the quick competition and combat, with solo play, online matches, and local split-screen listed on Steam. If you want to play with people in the same room, check that local split-screen is supported on your chosen edition. It can also be the more predictable option if you do not want to depend on current online activity; the available information does not establish how many players are online now.

Individual Steam users have praised the arcade action and local play, while other users have complained about controller setup and resolution options. These are individual reports, not verified problems affecting every PC player or platform. Consider them a reason to check the PC edition’s current settings and recent user feedback if those details matter to you.

Which platforms can you buy it on?

Official listings exist for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox. A listing does not guarantee that the game is currently available in every country or that each regional edition has identical features. Check the store for your location and confirm the platform and edition before buying.

Nintendo Switch with Gray Joy‑Con - HAC-001(-01)

  • Local co-op, online, and local wireless multiplayer

  • Nintendo Switch is the home of Mario & friends

What should PC players check first?

Steam lists these minimum requirements for the game:

  • Operating system: Windows 7, 8, or 10
  • Processor: 2.4 GHz AMD or Intel dual-core
  • Memory: 2 GB RAM
  • Graphics: DirectX 11-compatible graphics
  • Storage: 2 GB available space

Steam separately states that its client has supported Windows 10 and later since January 1, 2024. That client requirement is distinct from the game’s listed minimum operating systems: meeting the game listing alone does not establish that the current Steam client will run on an older Windows version.

Rank #4
Nintendo Switch with Neon Blue and Neon Red Joy‑Con
  • 3 Play Styles: TV Mode, Tabletop Mode, Handheld Mode
  • 6.2-inch, multi-touch capacitive touch screen
  • 4.5-9+ Hours of Battery Life Will vary depending on software usage conditions
  • Connects over Wi-Fi for multiplayer gaming; Up to 8 consoles can be connected for local wireless multiplayer
  • Model number: HAC-001(-01)

Some Steam reviewers report limited resolution options and controller-support or setup problems. Those reports are not proof of universal defects, but players who rely on a particular controller or display mode should check current user reports and the game’s available settings before purchasing.

Is Skydrift Infinity worth buying?

It is a reasonable candidate for players who want arcade air racing with combat and who value solo or local split-screen options. The storefront ratings offer a qualified, platform-specific signal: Steam’s captured user response is mixed, while the US PlayStation Store’s is more favorable. Neither rating settles how well it will suit an individual player. Check regional availability and, on PC, compatibility with your system and preferred controls before deciding.
