Shift Up announced that Stellar Blade had gone gold ahead of its planned PS5 release. Gaming Instincts reported that the game’s official account posted “GONE GOLD.” The milestone marks a point in the pre-release production schedule; it is not proof that the game is bug-free or that development and updates have ended.
What Shift Up announced
Gaming Instincts reported that the official Stellar Blade account announced the milestone with the words “GONE GOLD.” The report attributes the post to the game account, not to a named Shift Up employee. Gaming Instincts’ report

The announcement came before the scheduled release. PlayStation’s Southeast Asia blog, in a January 31, 2024 post by game director Kim Hyung Tae, said Stellar Blade would arrive on PS5 on April 26, 2024. PlayStation’s release-date announcement
What “gone gold” means—and what it does not
In the usual game-production sense, “gone gold” signals that a release build has reached a production milestone, historically associated with preparing a finished version for manufacturing and distribution. The phrase alone does not establish that every aspect of development is over.
