Spider Strings is a Yellow Tool in Hollow Knight: Silksong that strengthens the Needolin: the Hollow Knight Wiki reports 25% more range and a longer singing effect on enemies. You can buy it from Jubilana in Songclave for 320 Rosaries after completing The Lost Merchant Wish.
What Spider Strings does
The item description reproduced by the Hollow Knight Wiki calls it a “Sophisticated Weaver device” that “expands and strengthens the effects of the Needolin.” Specifically, the wiki says the Needolin’s range increases by 25%, and affected enemies spend longer singing. Its wider area can also let the Needolin affect multiple characters or enemies at once.
Spider Strings is an in-game tool, not a separate accessory sold outside the game. The listed effect is tied to the Needolin; it does not describe a general increase to Hornet’s attacks or other abilities.

Is Spider Strings a separate purchase?
No. Spider Strings is acquired inside Hollow Knight: Silksong. Team Cherry’s official game page lists the game for PC, Mac, Linux, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and links to physical editions. Check the retailer page for current stock and edition details.
The soundtrack is separate additional content, not the game itself: the Steam soundtrack listing says it does not include the base game and credits Christopher Larkin as composer. Team Cherry describes Larkin’s music for Hornet’s adventure on the official game page.
