The Nintendo Switch demo does not include Extreme Gear Machines. SEGA does not list a demo for Nintendo Switch 2 in this update.
Where can you play it?
SEGA names PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and Epic Games as demo platforms. Storefront access can vary by region, so check the relevant platform store to confirm availability where you live. The demo platform list is not the same as the full game’s platform list: SEGA’s product information also names PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch 2 for the full game.

What does the demo leave out?
The demo has no online multiplayer and no local multiplayer. That’s an important distinction from the full game, which SEGA lists as supporting 1–4 local players and up to 12 online. SEGA also says Nintendo Switch supports up to 8 players in local wireless play in the full game. Its June 2025 announcement describes cross-platform online multiplayer for the full game.
Does demo progress carry over?
Yes. SEGA says demo save data can be transferred to the full game. Time Trial results are the exception: they will not upload to the full game’s leaderboard. The demo is free, while the full game is a separate paid product; SEGA documents a physical standard edition, but no current price is established here.

Is the “releasing next week” announcement still current?
No. SEGA’s October 23, 2025 announcement said the free demo was available, and the full game launched on September 25, 2025. The demo update published March 19, 2026 confirms its modes, content and platform list. Those dates replace the stale “next week” framing; check the local store listing for present regional access.
