Rail Canyon has six Collection Keys across its two main acts: three in Act 1 and three in Act 2. The keys are found in the stages; they open matching Collection Boxes in Shadow Generations’ White Space hub. The locations below cover the six main-act keys, not every hub box or all twelve challenge-mission keys.
Collection Keys vs. Collection Boxes
In SEGA’s game manual, Collection Boxes are treasure chests in White Space. The three box types are Music, Art, and Shadow’s History. Find a corresponding Collection Key inside a stage to open a box and receive a Collection Item. This guide’s Rail Canyon directions concern stage keys, not a map of every box in White Space.

Rail Canyon Act 1 key locations
The three Act 1 positions below are reported by a 2024 secondary Rail Canyon key guide. Follow the route descriptions and watch for the key itself; the guide’s directions have not been independently tested here.
Green key: opening rail section
At the first rail segment, stay on the rightmost rail. The Green key is at the end of that route.

Blue key: above the tunnel
Follow the rail route to the Boost Ring, then activate Doom Wing before Shadow drops. Glide upward to the top of the tunnel, where the Blue key is located. Doom Wing lets Shadow glide while Boost is held, consuming Rings over time, according to SEGA’s manual. If the route is difficult, the guide suggests returning after unlocking Doom Wing; it is a route aid rather than a confirmed requirement.
Yellow key: hangar roof near the goal
At the rail section near the Goal Ring, start from either the far-left or far-right rail. After the next train-dodging sequence, leave the rails and land on a hangar roof to collect the Yellow key. Continue along the roof toward the exit.
Rail Canyon Act 2 key locations
The same 2024 guide reports three more keys in Act 2. Rail Canyon’s railway switches, moving train, and fast track routes are part of the stage’s design, as described in SEGA’s manual.

Yellow key: high route and switch
From the start, take the highest available route until you reach a switch. Jump into the switch to create a rail line leading to the Yellow key.
Blue key: scaffolding and Boost Ring
Climb the scaffolding in the described area and use the Boost Ring there to reach the Blue key. The guide notes that Chaos Control can help keep the scaffolding from being destroyed before you reach its top. SEGA describes Chaos Control as temporarily stopping enemies and gimmicks; it can therefore serve as a route aid around moving hazards.
Green key: scaffold rail above the train
Reach the top level of the scaffolding and take the grind rail to the Green key. Use Chaos Control to stop the train so it does not destroy the scaffolding before you can cross.

What about Rail Canyon’s challenge keys?
The guide counts 18 Rail Canyon keys in total: six across the two main acts and twelve in challenge missions. Its available directions for the challenge missions are incomplete, so the six locations above should not be treated as a complete challenge-key walkthrough. The reported challenge positions include keys near the main walkway before large fans, along a rail after a zipline, and above challenge scaffolding, but those snippets are not enough to give reliable full routes for all twelve.
If you meant White Space Collection Boxes
Collection Boxes are in White Space, while the keys are collected in stages. The available location directions establish where to find Rail Canyon’s main-act keys, but do not provide a complete map of every Collection Box near Rail Canyon—or every box in White Space. Use the matching key to open the box type it corresponds to: Music, Art, or Shadow’s History.
