What is Blood Rain about?
Reveal coverage describes Blood Rain as a direct sequel set in the same universe, continuing the story after the events of the first Stellar Blade. Its newly introduced protagonist is Evie. What platforms will Blood Rain be on?
The reveal coverage did not confirm a platform lineup. It mentioned PS5, PC, and Xbox only as possibilities discussed in industry speculation; Shift Up had not announced those platforms. Should you play the original Stellar Blade first?
The original Stellar Blade is the relevant game to play if you want to catch up before the sequel. It released on PS5 in 2024, with a PC version arriving in 2025. The sequel follows the first game’s events, but the reveal coverage does not establish whether newcomers will need to know the original’s story to follow Blood Rain. [c003]
