To collect spirits in Spirit City: Lofi Sessions, match the Spiritdex clues for the spirit you want: activate the right activity, soundscape, lighting, location, and, when required, companion. A glowing purple ring around the Spiritdex means your current setup is luring a spirit; wait for the red notification, then open the Spiritdex to meet and add it. Lenny is unlocked from the start.
Spoilers: The recipes below reveal spirit names and their unlock conditions. The roster counts are guide-reported figures current to specific dates, not permanent totals; updates can change them.
How spirit luring works
The game’s Steam listing describes spirit luring as a process of combining activities, soundscapes, and décor. In practice, Spiritdex clues may also call for a particular lighting setting, location, or equipped companion. Check the clues for the spirit you are pursuing rather than relying on one universal recipe. Mooncube Games’ Steam listing describes the core discovery loop.
- Open the Spiritdex and choose a spirit you have not met.
- Read its clues and set up the specified activity, soundscape, lighting, location, and companion, as applicable.
- Look for the glowing purple ring around the Spiritdex icon. It indicates that your current setup is luring a spirit, not that it has already arrived.
- Wait for the red notification, then open the Spiritdex to meet and add the spirit.
The guides do not establish a standard wait time, so there is no reliable number of minutes to promise. Lenny requires no setup: the base-game guide lists Lenny as unlocked by default.

How many spirits are there?
Bonus Action’s guide, updated August 24, 2026, reports 26 base-game spirits and 75 spirits with all four expansions. Its counts are a dated guide’s roster snapshot; treat them as a reference, not an immutable in-game total. Magical Library, released August 24, 2026, adds a Library location and 13 spirits and requires the base game, according to its Steam listing.
| Collection scope | Guide-reported spirits | What it includes |
|---|---|---|
| Base game | 26 | Base-game roster, described as current through the May 25, 2026 free update. |
| Cozy Kitchen | 12 | Expansion spirit set and themed location. |
| All Aboard! | 11 | Expansion spirit set and themed location. |
| Enchanted Garden | 13 | Expansion spirit set, including variants of existing spirits. |
| Magical Library | 13 | Expansion spirit set and Library location. |
| Base game plus all four expansions | 75 | Combined total reported by Bonus Action on August 24, 2026. |
Expansions add their own themed locations and recipes rather than a single collection-wide switch. Change to the relevant area before attempting that expansion’s spirits. To check current availability and pricing for your region, use the Steam store listing; prices vary by store region and can change.

A correct setup starts the lure; the ring is not the arrival notification. If the spirit has not appeared, check the relevant conditions rather than assuming the game has failed:
Quick Recap
- Confirm every clue is active, including lighting, soundscape, location, and background where specified.
- For a recipe requiring a companion, make sure that exact spirit is equipped.
- For an expansion spirit, switch to its themed location and verify you own the required expansion. Magical Library also requires the base game.
- Wait for the red notification and click the Spiritdex to complete the encounter; a purple ring alone does not add the spirit.
- Use the selected spirit’s Spiritdex clues as the authority if a condensed recipe here seems incomplete.
