What happened in Stellar Blade’s first day on PC?
Stellar Blade launched on Steam on June 11, 2025, at 21:55 UTC, according to SteamDB. Shift Up described the PC launch as June 12, a local-date difference around the UTC release time.

On June 12, GameSpot reported a snapshot of 147,996 concurrent players. By June 13, TechSpot reported that the game had passed 180,000 players shortly after launch. Those are Steam concurrency figures: the number of people playing at the same time, not total buyers or all-platform users.
Which PlayStation PC ports did it outperform?
In its June 13 report, TechSpot said Stellar Blade exceeded other late PC ports from PlayStation Publishing LLC. That makes the claim defensible when it is limited to delayed PlayStation ports, particularly single-player releases. It is not a universal record across every PlayStation-published game on Steam.

Shift Up later offered its own selected comparison figures in its second-quarter 2025 results. The company reported nearly 200,000 peak concurrent Steam users for Stellar Blade and gave the following peaks for a selection of other PlayStation titles:

These are Shift Up’s selected comparison titles, not a comprehensive leaderboard of every PlayStation PC release. The figures are concurrent-player peaks, not sales totals.
Why Helldivers 2 changes the headline
GameSpot cited a 458,709 concurrent-player peak for Helldivers 2—well above Stellar Blade’s first-day snapshot and eventual Steam peak. But Helldivers 2 launched on PS5 and PC simultaneously, rather than arriving later as a PC port. It is therefore relevant to a claim about every PlayStation-published PC game, but not a like-for-like comparator for delayed single-player ports.

The comparison depends on the boundaries: first-day snapshot or all-time peak; delayed port or simultaneous launch; single-player release or multiplayer game; and selected peers or the full set of PlayStation-published Steam games. Without those limits, “every other PlayStation PC port” overstates what the launch figures establish.

SteamDB records Stellar Blade’s all-time Steam peak as 192,078 concurrent players on June 15, 2025. That was the opening-weekend peak, not the first-day figure. Shift Up’s later rounded description of nearly 200,000 peak users is consistent with SteamDB’s recorded number.
Sales are a separate measure: Shift Up reported more than one million units sold in the first three days. That company-reported total should not be confused with the number of people playing simultaneously.

How the record looks in later context
In March 2026, GamesRadar+ reported that Death Stranding 2 reached 55,444 concurrent Steam players shortly after its PC debut, placing it sixth among PlayStation games on Steam at that point. That reported peak was below Stellar Blade’s 192,078 SteamDB peak. New launches can change rankings, so these dated figures do not establish a permanent position across every future PlayStation release.
