SteelSeries was reported as the official peripheral partner for The International 2024, Dota 2’s world championship. The 2024 report described it as the company’s fourth consecutive year in the role; SteelSeries’ own announcement confirms its appointment began in 2021.
Who was The International 2024’s peripheral partner?
SteelSeries was the partner, according to a 2024 industry report that characterized the year as its fourth consecutive partnership with The International. SteelSeries’ September 2021 announcement confirms the company was named official peripheral partner that year. The fourth-year description is the 2024 report’s account of continuity, rather than a current official partnership notice.
Valve’s June 7, 2024 broadcast-production request said the tournament was scheduled for September in Copenhagen, Denmark. That document announced the event’s planned date and location; it is not retrospective confirmation of the event’s final arrangements.
What did the partnership cover?
In its 2021 announcement, SteelSeries said it would provide mice, keyboards, headsets and accessories to players, and be integrated into event activations and caster setups at the Grand Finals in Singapore. The statement describes the company’s announced scope for that year. It does not identify the equipment used at the 2024 tournament or establish a 2024 inventory of sponsored devices.
