For Cut the Synapse and Grapnel Launcher, the listed top tier is a 40-second clear. The criteria establish a time target, not a particular route: available text references identify the trials but do not document enemy sequences, grapple targets, loadouts, or an exact path. Treat any route you see in a video as a demonstration to evaluate against your own trial, not as a guarantee that it will work unchanged.
- Read the trial’s current objective and tier thresholds before moving.
- Keep the 40-second target in view, and avoid optional fighting or repositioning that does not advance the objective.
- After an attempt, compare elapsed time and objective completion. If the trial fails, identify whether time or an unmet objective was the issue before changing your approach.
How to complete Perfectly Timed
Use the trial display as a three-part checklist. The community-maintained criteria list a 60-second completion tier, five Grapnel Launcher kills, and five melee kills. The available listing does not say whether a single action can count toward both kill categories or explain the in-game scoring logic, so track each requirement separately rather than assuming overlap.

Focus Entertainment’s community page dated November 8, 2024 hosts “SPACE MARINE 2 – TRIALS (Guide for Every Class)”, labeled “All Trials (GRADE A),” with its Vanguard segment marked at 4:52. The video is a useful visual reference, but its indexed page text does not spell out the moves shown. Another guide, AmuroDray’s “How to Easily A Rank All Trials”, timestamps the Vanguard trials in its description; use the video itself to inspect the demonstration rather than relying on the text listing as a step-by-step route.

Later Vanguard challenges are a separate feature. Focus Entertainment’s Patch 15.0 notes introduce “New Ordeals featuring Vanguard and Heavy class challenges, as well as PvP and Siege game modes” under Trials of Resolve #3. Those ordeals are not the three original Vanguard class trials covered above.

Focus Entertainment’s Patch 13.0 notes describe the Battle Simulator as “A new customisable battle arena in which you can practice, fighting various enemies and their combinations, as well as trying different weapons, equipment and loadouts.” The notes also describe Trials of Resolve as “New challenging Ordeals with unique rewards.” The Battle Simulator can help with general combat practice, but the patch notes do not say it recreates the original class-trial layouts or conditions.
