It arrived in the Patch 12 update announced on 26 February 2026. Earlier requests are visible in community discussions, but they do not show how many players wanted the cosmetic.
What “beaky” means in Space Marine 2
“Beaky” is fan shorthand for a Space Marine helmet associated with the Mk VI Corvus pattern, whose distinctive elongated faceplate gives it a birdlike profile. Games Workshop itself used the informal spelling “beakie” in a 2025 Warhammer Community announcement about physical Space Marine heads, noting helmet callbacks to Mk VI and Mk VII armor patterns and asking, “who can say no to a beakie?” Warhammer Community’s announcement described a 51-head set, including 30 bare heads and six intended for Terminator armor.
Space Marine 2’s Raven Guard pack includes a Mk VI helmet
Warhammer Community announced the Raven Guard Champion Pack alongside Patch 12 on 26 February 2026. The pack includes a unique Mk VI helmet as part of a broader Raven Guard-themed cosmetic set. The official description also lists a feathered shoulder pad, a unique Bolt Pistol skin, and other avian details.
The pack was included for Year 2 Season Pass owners; other players could pick it up separately, according to the announcement. The article does not establish current prices or confirm availability in each platform’s store, so check the relevant in-game or platform storefront for current purchase details. Players asked for the look, but there is no measure of how many
Community discussions surfaced requests such as “Beaky helmet?” and “Beaky Boy Helmets when?” Those examples show that some players wanted the option, including in connection with Raven Guard customization and Mk VI armor. They are not a poll, and they cannot establish that most players—or the community as a whole—were asking for it.
Game cosmetic, miniature parts, and wearable collectible are different things
| Option | What it is | How it relates to the beaky look |
|---|---|---|
| Raven Guard Champion Pack | In-game cosmetic pack for Space Marine 2; included for Year 2 Season Pass owners, with separate pickup available to other players per the 26 February 2026 announcement. | Includes a unique Mk VI helmet. Current price and platform-store availability are not stated in the announcement. |
| Space Marine heads set | Physical tabletop hobby parts announced by Games Workshop in 2025; the announcement described 51 heads. | Includes helmet options with Mk VI pattern callbacks. The announcement does not confirm the set’s current retail SKU or availability. |
| JOYTOY Titus helmet | Wearable officially licensed collectible styled after Lieutenant Titus, announced by Games Workshop in July 2025. | It is a Mk X Tacticus design, not a beaky helmet. Current stock is not established. |
The tabletop heads are for building or customizing miniatures; they do not unlock an item in the game. The JOYTOY helmet is a separate collectible, not an alternative Mk VI design. Games Workshop described it as having illuminated lenses and an optional display stand when it announced the product. The JOYTOY helmet announcement referred to pre-orders at the time, not guaranteed present availability.
