When is the Splatoon 3 Splatoween 2026 event?
Nintendo UK lists the event from Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 00:00 to Sunday, November 1, at 22:59 UK time. Nintendo Spain lists it from Saturday, October 31, at 01:00 to Sunday, November 1, at 23:59 in its locale. Those are region-specific schedules, not a single worldwide clock time. Which team should you choose?
Nintendo’s event prompt is: “What would you be in a fantasy world: Wizard, Knight or Ninja?” Choose one of the three teams based on the role you like best. Nintendo has not described a gameplay advantage for any team, and choosing the most popular option does not guarantee a Splatfest win.
- Wizard: pick this if magic is your fantasy-world style.
- Knight: choose the armored champion.
- Ninja: go with the stealthy role.
How does the Splatfest work?
Sneak Peek
Before the main event, players can take part in the Sneak Peek. Battles and Salmon Run shifts raise catalog level during this period, earning conch shells that factor into the final Splatfest results.

First half: 4-vs-4 Turf War
The first half of the Splatfest uses 4-vs-4 Turf War battles. Players fight for their chosen team by covering the stage with ink.
Second half: Tricolor Turf War
During the second half, Tricolor Turf War matches put four players from the team in first place against two players from each of the other teams. Each match lasts three minutes; Nintendo’s event description says, “The team that inks the largest area in three minutes wins.”

How the final result is decided
Nintendo says final results account for total votes, conch shells and individual Clout. Team popularity is one factor, not the whole result. The format and scoring details are on Nintendo’s official event page.
What do you need to participate?
The event is part of Splatoon 3 for Nintendo Switch. A compatible copy of the game is the direct product fit if you do not own it. Downloads may require additional storage, but Nintendo does not say that an extra microSD card is required for Splatoween.
