To get through it, clear the entrance vines, drop the Small Pebble into the bowl by the gate, then offer the correct objects at three interior lifts: a Gravestone; a Telescope and Pen Tip; and a Sundial, Small Rotating Globe, and Celestial.
Where to find the Spire of Insight
Look in the Steel Mountains in southeastern Hernand, east of a small lake and the Eastern Goblin Camp, according to Game8’s location guide. PowerPyx also places it in the Steel Mountains south of Hernand. These are landmark directions rather than coordinate-based directions. If the area is still obscured on your map, Game8 says you may need to reveal it through the Toll of Pywell bell walkthrough.

How to open the entrance

Clear the vines covering the entrance with a fire or light ability. Guides use different names for the light ability, including Blinding Flash, Concentrated Light, and Focused Light; the exact control input depends on the platform and guide.

Pick up the Small Pebble lying by the doorway.

Put or drop the pebble into the bowl beside the locked gate. The entrance opens when the bowl registers it.

How to solve the three interior riddles
At each lift, offer the listed object or objects to the bowl. Guides report that the bowl lights when the correct items are accepted and the central bookstand rises as a platform.
First lift: Gravestone
Find the Gravestone near the elevator and offer it to the bowl. This is the answer to the first book riddle.
Second lift: Telescope and Pen Tip
Offer both a Telescope and a Pen Tip. Game8 describes the Telescope as being on a desk and the Pen Tip as being in a rear room. VULKK’s walkthrough places them in a western corner and by the south wall, respectively.

Final lift: Sundial, Small Rotating Globe, and Celestial
Offer all three items: a Sundial, a Small Rotating Globe, and a Celestial. They are found around the shelves and books.
If an item will not register
Walk close to the bowl and try dropping the object rather than using the place interaction. PC Gamer contributor Lauren Morton reported that the place command was buggy in her playthrough and recommended dropping the item while facing the bowl. That is an attributed gameplay report, not confirmation that the interaction is universally broken.
What is at the top?
After the final lift rises, go to the top and enter the Abyss Gate. It leads to Chaos Forest within the Path of Providence.
