Splatoon 3 version 9.1.0 was released on September 11, 2024. Nintendo’s update added data for the Grand Festival and fixed bugs in Multiplayer, Salmon Run, and Photo Mode. The official notes list no weapon balance changes; they also say the update is compatible with version 9.0.0 battle replays.

- Splatfests: Added data relating to the Grand Festival event.
- Multiplayer: Fixed an issue that caused battle songs to be weighted toward certain songs.
- Salmon Run: Fixed an issue where a player using a Squeezer, then given a blaster for the next wave, could sometimes fail to fire properly while rapidly pressing ZR. Nintendo also fixed an issue where certain actions performed while submerged in ink on a wall could sometimes leave a player under the water surface when the tide changed.
- Photo Mode: Fixed an issue where Zoom or Tilt actions sometimes did not play their sound effect.

Did version 9.1.0 change weapon balance?
No weapon balance changes are listed in Nintendo’s version 9.1.0 notes. Nintendo said the following update would focus on battle-balance changes based on long-term analysis of battle data; that statement describes a future update, not a change included in 9.1.0.

Which battle replays are compatible?
Nintendo states that version 9.1.0 is compatible with battle replays from version 9.0.0. Its note does not promise compatibility with replays from versions older than 9.0.0.

No. Version 9.1.0 is a historical update, not the newest version listed on Nintendo’s update-history page, which includes later entries such as versions 9.2.0 and 9.3.0. Nintendo’s page names Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, and Nintendo Switch OLED Model in its platform heading.
