To find The Gunslinger in Star Wars Outlaws, first complete The Heavy and reach Mos Eisley. Follow the resulting Expert Intel from Chalmun’s Cantina to a Hutt Cartel storehouse, then go to Wayfar to meet Sheriff Quint, complete her bottle-shooting lesson, and defend the settlement.
Unlock The Gunslinger Intel
Complete the main quest The Heavy and arrive in Mos Eisley to receive the relevant Expert Intel. Ubisoft describes the Expert system as a reason to explore: Game Director Mathias Karlson said, “One of your motivations for exploration is to find elusive experts scattered across the galaxy who will help Kay pick up new skills to survive in the underworld.” (Ubisoft, June 10, 2024.)

Follow the Gunslinger Intel trail
- Speak with the bartender at Chalmun’s Cantina. The conversation points Kay toward Shep and the next lead.
- Search the Hutt Cartel storehouse. Retrieve the datapad from a triangular table to advance the intel.
- Travel to Wayfar. The trail leads to Sheriff Quint, where the Expert Quest begins.
The storehouse can be approached stealthily or through combat. Low Hutt Cartel reputation can make a stealthy infiltration more difficult, but it is not stated as a quest prerequisite. (VULKK’s guide discusses the reputation complication.)
Complete Quint’s training and defend Wayfar
Pass the bottle-shooting exercise
Meet Sheriff Quint in Wayfar and complete her bottle-shooting training exercise. This is the first part of the Expert Quest.

What completing The Gunslinger unlocks
The quest rewards include Sheriff Quint and Adrenaline Rush Mastery. The mastery lets Kay mark objects and two additional targets during Adrenaline Rush. Quint’s broader Expert progression also lists Powered Recharge, Speeder Shot, Resilient, The More, and The Better; these are ability options in her progression, not rewards that the quest automatically grants all at once.
