Marnie’s own routine is different: on a typical day she goes to the counter at 9:00 AM, leaves at 4:00 PM, visits the Stardrop Saloon at 5:00 PM, and heads home at 11:00 PM. Her schedule can change by weekday, weather, season, and special events, so check the exceptions below before making a trip.
Where to find Marnie on a regular day
Marnie lives at Marnie’s Ranch in the northeast part of Cindersap Forest. Her ordinary routine is:

Marnie’s schedule exceptions
Use the first applicable exception in the schedule rather than assuming the regular routine applies. These listed routines can vary with game version and unlocked content.

- Monday: She leaves home at 8:10 AM for Pierre’s General Store, leaves at noon, and is back home in the kitchen around 1:30 PM.
- Tuesday: She goes to Pierre’s at 10:00 AM to exercise, stays there in the afternoon to socialize, and returns home around 8:00 PM.
- Rainy days and Thursday: She works at the shop from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, then stays home for the evening.
- Fall 18: She goes to Harvey’s Clinic for a checkup and is away from the ranch for much of the day.
- Winter 16: She attends the Night Market after the shop.
- Winter 18: She takes Jas to Harvey’s Clinic.
- Green Rain in Year 1: She stays in the kitchen all day.
- After unlocking the Ginger Island Beach Resort: She may randomly spend Monday and/or Tuesday there.
The Marnie reference includes schedule additions for version 1.6, but schedules may change with updates. The wiki’s version overview listed version 1.6.15 for computer, PS4, and Xbox One, updated December 20, 2024; that listing does not establish the latest version on every platform. Marnie’s Ranch shop hours and access
The shop normally operates from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and is closed Monday and Tuesday. Marnie being at the ranch does not by itself mean the shop is open: use the shop schedule, which also accounts for event-related changes, as a separate check from her personal routine. The shop schedule reference notes that festivals and clinic closures can affect access.
The Animal Catalogue can let you shop while Marnie is away, as long as the building is accessible. Marnie sells this in-game power book for 5,000g starting in Year 2; reading it grants the shop-access power. It does not override a closed or inaccessible building. Best gifts for Marnie
Marnie’s named loved gifts are Diamond, Farmer’s Lunch, Pink Cake, and Pumpkin Pie, along with all Universal Loves. A loved gift is the strongest option among these choices for building friendship. Her listed liked gifts include Stardew Valley Almanac, Quartz, all Universal Likes, all Eggs except Void Egg, and all Milk. Some items have special gift reactions, so check the full character gift list or her in-game response if you are unsure about an unusual item.

Marnie’s birthday is Fall 18. A birthday gift has an eightfold friendship effect, and you can give a villager up to two gifts per week plus one additional gift on their birthday. The multiplier and gift rules are described in the wiki’s Friendship reference. If you can, give Marnie a loved gift on Fall 18; choose the item you can obtain or prepare, rather than waiting for one particular dish.
