The Three Fates are not a normal location in Hades II; reaching them is the payoff for a post-ending prophecy chain. Finish the true ending and credits, complete the required route and character events, then satisfy the Fated List’s final Oceanus condition. The latest walkthrough available for this guide reports verification against Post-Launch Patch 2 – Hotfix 5, dated July 28, 2026; check your in-game Fated List if a later update changes the trigger. Before you start: finish the true ending
The Fates chain becomes available only after you complete the true ending and see the credits. It is a post-ending sequence of encounters, relationship events, and conversations—not a destination you can simply reach on a regular run.

Complete the post-ending route encounters
- Meet Chronos on both routes. Complete an Underworld run and a Surface run. Speak with the changed Chronos when he appears after Tartarus and on Olympus.
- Return to Moros at the Crossroads. After those encounters, talk to Moros and continue the chain as the Fated List updates.
Finish Hecate’s and Moros’s required events
Hecate
- Complete her second bathhouse event and second taverna event.
- After the true ending, give her the final Ambrosia gift.
- Complete her second fishing-pier event, using a Twin Lure.
Moros
- Continue his gift track through the final Ambrosia gift.
- Spend one Ambrosia on his second taverna event. The current walkthrough identifies this event as part of the story requirement.
Trigger the four field conversations
These are named conversations, so do not assume that ordinary runs alone will complete the chain. Meet each character and continue speaking until the required dialogue has played:
- Prometheus: Meet him until both conversations about the Fates have occurred.
- Heracles: Give him three Nectar, then meet and speak with him.
- Chaos: Speak with Chaos after completing the Chronos nightmare chain.
- Changed Chronos: Speak with him about the Fates in Erebus.
Check Moros and the Fated List
Return to Moros after the conversations. When his important dialogue marker appears, speak with him, then read the newly revealed Fated List entry before starting the next night. Treat the List as the progress authority: if it has not reacted, the chain is not ready for its final condition.

Complete the final Oceanus condition
- Upgrade Death to Epic.
- Start an Underworld run with Epic Death active; do not use a Chaos Trial for this attempt.
- Reach Oceanus and complete three consecutive chambers, with Death Defiance activating in each chamber.
- Remain in Oceanus while meeting the condition. The current walkthrough says the check looks at the previous three completed rooms.
Return to the Crossroads to finish
After the Oceanus condition registers, return to the Crossroads and complete Moros’s follow-up. Claim the completed Fates prophecy. The current walkthrough identifies the epilogue achievement and three Nightmare as completion evidence.
If the final step does not trigger
Moros has no important dialogue
Recheck the named prerequisites rather than repeating random runs: Hecate’s second fishing-pier event, Moros’s second taverna event, both Prometheus conversations, Heracles after three Nectar, Chaos after the nightmare chain, and Chronos’s Fates conversation in Erebus. Also confirm that the Fated List has revealed the new entry.

The Oceanus event does not register
- Confirm Epic Death was active when you entered the Underworld.
- Make sure Death Defiance activated in each of the three previous completed Oceanus chambers.
- Confirm you are not attempting the condition in a Chaos Trial.
- Check that the Fated List reacted before repeating the run.
Why older guides may give different instructions
GameSpot’s September 23, 2025 guide describes a different final procedure involving Moros’s Engraved Pin, a timed challenge in successive Oceanus rooms, and then dying in another encounter. It also notes uncertainty about some “Melinoë, Seek Us” requirements. The newer walkthrough reports verification against the July 2026 hotfix, so its three-chamber Death Defiance procedure is the more current account here; do not treat the older timed-challenge steps as definitive. That older guide transcribes the prophecy clue as: “Using our Emissary’s gift in the depths of Oceanus, active it thrice in successive chambers, then purposely return to shadow.” This is GameSpot’s transcription, not a verified quotation from Supergiant.
