To get Tabantha Wheat for free in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, cut grass in the Tabantha Frontier, south of Rito Village. A guide-reported starting point is -3315, 1034, 0168. You can also buy it at shops in Rito Village, Gerudo Town, or Korok Forest, though some shop services depend on story progress.

How to get Tabantha Wheat from grass

  1. Travel to the Tabantha Frontier, south of Rito Village.
  2. Look for grass that is not covered in snow.
  3. Swing a sharp weapon, such as a sword, through the grass. Tabantha Wheat may appear as a drop; each swing is not guaranteed to produce it.

Destructoid suggests starting at -3315, 1034, 0168. That is a guide-reported coordinate, not an official map location. The Destructoid location guide and the GameFAQs walkthrough both describe cutting grass in the region as a way to find the ingredient. Neither source establishes a drop rate or a guaranteed yield per visit.

Where to buy Tabantha Wheat

Three shops are named in the guides. Buying costs Rupees; Destructoid reports a price of 12 Rupees per bundle. Stock refresh rules are not established by the cited guides.

Shop Location Access notes
The Slippery Falcon Rito Village The GameFAQs guide says its services improve after the Wind Temple story events.
Spera’s stand Gerudo Town Destructoid says it becomes available after resolving the area’s Regional Phenomenon; GameFAQs associates its opening with Lightning Temple events. Check again after progressing the regional story.
The Spore Store Korok Forest Listed as a seller by the guides; Destructoid identifies it as the Great Deku Tree shop.

These locations and access details are guide-reported. If a shop does not offer the wheat yet, continue the relevant regional story and check again.
