Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s PS5 Pro upgrade raises the announced resolution in both graphics modes and adds ray-traced effects to Performance mode. EA later issued PS5 Patch 10 to target several PS5 Pro-specific visual problems, including foliage and fog flicker. The published specifications and patch notes describe intended settings and fixes; they are not an independent test of the game’s current performance.
What the PS5 Pro upgrade changes
EA’s November 7, 2024 announcement describes higher base resolutions for both PS5 Pro modes. Quality mode keeps 4K output and ray-traced elements, while Performance mode targets 60 fps and gains ray-traced occlusion and reflections. EA gives the resolution figures below as upscaled output, not native rendering resolution.
| Mode | EA’s announced resolution | Ray tracing and frame rate |
|---|---|---|
| Quality | Upscaled from 1800p to 2160p (4K output) | Retains ray-traced elements; no frame-rate figure stated in EA’s announcement. |
| Performance | Upscaled from 1200p to 1800p output | Adds ray-traced occlusion and reflections; continues to deliver 60 fps. |
These are EA’s announced mode settings, not results from an independent performance or image-quality test. The announcement does not establish measured frame pacing or how the modes compare subjectively. EA’s PS5 Pro announcement has the original specifications.
Did a later patch fix visual flickering?
EA’s January 15, 2025 PS5 Patch 10 notes say the update addressed some PS5 Pro-specific issues. The listed changes were targeted rather than a promise that every visual problem was eliminated:

EA’s notes do not quantify these changes or say that all flicker is gone. They also do not establish the game’s current visual condition after any later updates. The notes are published on the official patch-notes page.
Which version supports the PS5 Pro enhancements?
The enhancements apply to the PS5 edition, not the PS4 edition. The US PlayStation Store labels Star Wars Jedi: Survivor for PS5 “PS5 Pro Enhanced” and lists Standard and Deluxe editions. Its prices and offers can change, so check the live US PlayStation Store listing for current details. EA’s FAQ says the game is available in retail and digital formats for PS5, but that does not confirm any particular retailer’s current stock or listing.

What the published details do—and don’t—establish
EA’s November 2024 mode descriptions explain the intended resolution, ray-tracing features, and Performance mode frame-rate target. Its January 2025 patch notes identify specific PS5 Pro visual fixes. Neither source is a current independent test, and the cited information does not establish whether a later patch changed the results. To judge the game as it runs today, check the installed version and consult a recent test that explains its testing method.
