The Starfield: Shattered Space expansion was reported at approximately 14.88 GB in a Microsoft Store listing, according to StarfieldDB. That is a reported listing size—not a confirmed current download or installed size for every platform. Bethesda’s separate 125 GB PC storage requirement applies to Starfield as a whole, not just the expansion.
How big is the Shattered Space DLC?
StarfieldDB reported that the Microsoft Store listing showed Shattered Space at approximately 14.88 GB: StarfieldDB’s report. The listing had previously displayed much smaller values, so the figure should be treated as a reported listing size rather than a stable, universal measurement.

The sources do not confirm the current installed size on Xbox Series X|S or PC, or provide an authoritative per-platform breakdown. A store listing size and the space an installed game ultimately occupies are not necessarily interchangeable.
What Bethesda’s 125 GB PC requirement means
Bethesda lists 125 GB of available storage in both the minimum and recommended PC specifications for Starfield, and specifies that an SSD is required. This is the storage requirement for the base game’s PC specifications; it is not the Shattered Space expansion’s file size. See Bethesda’s PC specs and launch details.

What you need to start the expansion
Players must complete the Starfield mission One Small Step before starting Shattered Space. Bethesda recommends reaching level 35 for the best experience; it describes that level as a recommendation, not a requirement.
