For a dependable early-game route in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, invest first in health and healing, then add a few useful saber and Force options. This ten-pick list is a flexible starting point, not an official ranking: difficulty, your preferred lightsaber stance, and how often you use Force abilities should shape the order.
How skill points and the trees work
At Meditation Points, Cal can spend skill points across three trees: Survival, Lightsaber, and Force. You earn points by filling the experience bar, including through defeating enemies and finding Essences; PlayStation Blog also lists scans, some activities, and Force Echoes as sources of experience. The order below combines recommendations from several guides into one practical route. It is not a published or tested ranking, and it does not assume every player uses the same stance or difficulty.

Survival Skills
Start with this foundational health increase. Push Square also describes it as a prerequisite in the Survival tree, so it supports further health investment as well as making early mistakes more survivable. It is an especially sensible first purchase on higher difficulties.

Improved Stim Formula
This upgrade increases the healing Cal receives from a stim when his health is low. It is a direct defensive benefit, particularly useful if you often enter a fight without a large health reserve.

Improved Survival Skills
Take this next if you want a more forgiving run: it extends Cal’s health further. Players who are comfortable avoiding damage can move to saber or Force choices sooner instead.

Lunging Strike
Push Square recommends this early Lightsaber option: a thrust that can reach enemies at a distance and pressure their health and block. Its value is in giving you a way to threaten a target without needing to close the gap first.

Aerial Assault
This leap-and-strike attack can damage an enemy’s health or block. Push Square treats it as an important combat pickup; consider it if you like attacks that close distance and interrupt an opponent’s rhythm.

Aerial Ace
This upgrades Aerial Assault with more damage and stagger, according to Push Square. It is a follow-up rather than a universal must-buy: take it if Aerial Assault is already part of your regular combat approach.

Wrenching Pull
This Telekinesis skill pulls a group of enemies toward Cal, setting them up for saber attacks. GameSpot also notes that players may acquire it while progressing through the Telekinesis path, so its practical place in your spending order can depend on prerequisites.

Channelled Energy
Push Square and GameSpot recommend this for Force regeneration. It helps refill Force when blocking and defeating enemies, making it a useful choice if you spend Force regularly and want to keep those abilities available.

An Attunement upgrade
GameSpot recommends the Attunement chain to increase maximum Force in the early-to-mid game. Prioritize it if you frequently use Force powers; if you rarely run out of Force, spend those points on survival or your chosen stance instead.

A skill for the stance you actually use
There is no single best stance skill for every player. Choose an early upgrade for the stance you rely on most, rather than buying into an unfamiliar style just to complete a list. The stance differences are summarized below.

Choose the final Lightsaber investment by stance
Single, Double-bladed, and Dual Wield are available early, and you can equip two stances at once. PlayStation Blog describes the main trade-offs this way:

Use those trade-offs to decide which stance skill deserves your tenth slot and any later Lightsaber points. If you switch between two equipped stances, invest according to the one you use most or the encounters where you most need help. Adjust the order to your play style
- Higher difficulty or frequent deaths: Buy the first three Survival choices before spending heavily on offense. Den of Geek also advises that Survival Skills should probably be the first purchase on higher difficulties.
- Frequent Force use: Move Wrenching Pull, Channelled Energy, and an Attunement upgrade earlier so your points support the abilities you use often.
- Stance-first combat: Pick the final slot—and subsequent Lightsaber upgrades—around your preferred stance’s combat feel, not a universal ranking.
- Unsure about a purchase: Experiment with a skill reset. PlayStation Blog says the first reset is free and later resets cost one skill point; its combat overview covers the reset system.
