T1’s 2025 VALORANT Roster: What Was Announced and What Changed

T1’s October 2024 roster roundup named Meteor, Sylvan, Indigo and CheongGak, but it was not complete. A June 2025 report later listed six players on the active roster.

T1’s October 2024 announcement was not a complete 2025 roster reveal. The article published October 12 named players Meteor and Sylvan and coaches Indigo and CheongGak, while noting that T1 was still announcing team members. A separate June 2025 update later named six players on T1’s active roster for the rest of the VCT season.

What T1 had announced by October 12, 2024

The Insider Gaming article behind the headline “T1 Announces Full 2025 Valorant Roster” documented a rolling announcement, not a finished roster. It identified:

  • Players: Meteor and Sylvan
  • Coaches: Indigo and CheongGak

Insider Gaming said these were the names known “as of now” and that T1 was continuing to announce team members. It also reproduced T1’s October 8 welcome for Indigo as a new coach and a welcome for CheongGak returning as coach. The four names should therefore be read as the people identified in that early roundup, not as the full preseason roster or coaching staff. Insider Gaming’s October 12, 2024 article

How the roster information changed in 2025

A June 26, 2025 report described a later and distinct roster decision for VCT Pacific Stage 2 and the remainder of the season. It reproduced a statement attributed to T1 general manager Junho “Norman” Shin: “Based on results from internal tests conducted in preparation for VCT PACIFIC STAGE 2, the active VCT roster for the remainder of the 2025 season has been finalized and will include six players: BuZz, Carpe, DH, iZu, Meteor, and stax.” GG Esports’ June 26, 2025 report

The same report said Sylvan was offered career options, including a transfer, and chose to remain with T1 alongside his teammates. That distinguishes continued team membership from inclusion on the six-player active roster.

Active roster is not the same as starting five

GG Esports’ headline referred to a starting five, but its report reproduced Shin’s statement describing a six-player active roster. Its Stage 2 breakdown listed stax as a substitute. Those labels describe different things: the six names were the active roster, while the starting-five framing and substitute listing identify roles within that report. Stage 2 was scheduled to run from July 15 to August 31, 2025.

Why roster status mattered in the VCT

Riot Games’ official 2025 League Handbook describes the VCT as the Tier 1 professional VALORANT league season. Its Champions Paris overview gives the tournament format: 16 teams were split into four GSL groups, with best-of-three group matches; the top two teams in each group advanced to an eight-team double-elimination playoff. These are league-format details, not evidence of T1’s results. Riot Games / VALORANT Esports’ 2025 League Handbook

What the available announcements do not establish

The October roundup does not establish T1’s complete initial 2025 roster or coaching staff. The later report supplies a six-player active-roster list for the remainder of the season, but that is a different time-specific status. The cited sources also do not provide a roster-specific performance statistic, nor do they establish which equipment individual players used.
