It brings the comic series’ story to a close, but it did not end Team Fortress 2: Valve’s update history lists a game update released on December 23, 2025, after the comic appeared.
What the final Team Fortress 2 comic is
Valve lists “The Days Have Worn Away” as TF Comics #7 and dates it December 20, 2024. It is the series’ final numbered installment. The issue’s place in the sequence and its release date are recorded in Valve’s official Team Fortress 2 comics index.
The comics grew out of a world that initially had little story. Valve’s index explains, “TF2 didn’t start with a lot of story,” and describes the comics as a way to explore the mercenaries’ world as the game’s updates became more ambitious.
Does the last comic mean Team Fortress 2 is over?
No. The comic ends the numbered comic series; it is not an announcement that Valve shut down the game or ended its support. Valve’s official update history records an update dated December 23, 2025, after the comic’s release. That update includes fixes and map changes.
Keep the two timelines distinct: the comic series has a final numbered issue, while the game continued to receive updates afterward. The comic’s release alone does not establish what Valve may do with the game in the future.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Does the comic show that Valve intended to end the whole franchise?
That is an interpretation, not a confirmed statement from Valve. A contemporaneous Gamepressure report read the comic’s tone as a farewell to the Team Fortress universe. That commentary should not be confused with an official announcement that the game had ended.
The available official listing establishes the issue’s title, date, and position as the final numbered comic, but does not provide enough plot detail for a dependable ending recap. For the story itself, the issue page is the primary source.
