When did Miary Zo come out in Tekken 8?
Bandai Namco’s December 2, 2025 announcement said Miary Zo was available that day to holders of either the Season 2 Character Pass or Season 2 Character & Stage Pass. It set December 5, 2025, for access by all players. The publisher described her as the final Season 2 DLC fighter and said her release brought the roster to 40 playable characters. The word “today” in the announcement’s headline referred to December 2, 2025—not a new release in 2026.
How can you get Miary Zo now?
The launch announcement documents the historical pass early-access window, but it does not establish whether either Season 2 pass is currently sold, what it costs, or whether it is available in every region. Check your platform’s store for the current Miary Zo listing and any pass options before buying. Miary Zo is listed as DLC in the Steam TEKKEN 8 DLC catalog and on the Xbox store. The official TEKKEN 8 game page also presents the game’s editions and DLC options.

Baobab Horizon stage
The release added Baobab Horizon, a new stage. Bandai Namco later said it was inspired by trips to Madagascar taken by the game’s development team. That is the publisher’s description of the stage’s inspiration. See the official TEKKEN 8 page.

Miary Zo, the character
The official Miary Zo fighter profile lists her country as Madagascar and her fighting style as “Morengy and other African Martial Arts.” It calls “Fighting God Reborn” an affectionate village nickname and says the phrase refers to the Silver Fighting God of Madagascan legend. These are the game’s character framing and backstory, not an independent account of Malagasy culture or martial-arts history.
In the profile’s story, Miary Zo’s grandmother, described as a Mpanandro, prophesies: “When all the ancient baobab trees wither in a single breath, a child bearing the scarlet eyes of the fighting god shall be born.” The profile says Miary Zo is born with coal-colored eyes, grows interested in nature and wildlife, and takes an interest in martial arts after observing animals and mimicking their movements.

Her bio also says she calls opponents her “BFFs,” meaning “battle friends forever,” and describes her as cheerful and openhearted. Those are details about the fictional character, not generalizations about people from Madagascar.
