Can you claim Blood West for free on Epic today?
The current Epic free-games listing does not include Blood West. Epic says it offers a new free game every Thursday on PC and mobile, but that rotating schedule does not mean a particular game remains free after its claim window closes. The earlier Blood West giveaway ended December 21, 2025, according to PC Gamer’s report.
Epic’s Blood West product page showed a sale end date of September 17, 2026—not an active free claim. That date has passed, so check the live listing rather than relying on an old giveaway announcement or a sale date. A past free offer does not establish that the game will be given away again.
What is Blood West?
Blood West is a single-player stealth first-person shooter set in a supernatural version of the American West. Epic describes it as an immersive stealth FPS; you play an undead gunslinger exploring three open-ended scenarios: the Canyons, Swamp, and Mountains. Firearms, melee options, and perk-based progression shape how you approach encounters. The game was developed by Hyperstrange and released on December 5, 2023. Steam lists New Blood Interactive and Hyperstrange as its publishers.

Epic estimates that completing all three scenarios takes over 20 hours on average, and that seeing everything takes over 35 hours. Those are storefront estimates, not a guaranteed playtime for every player.
Where can you play it, and what does a PC need?
The Epic listing identifies the base game as a Windows title; Steam also lists Windows requirements. The published minimums are similar, but they are specifications from the storefronts, not independent performance testing.

Steam lists Blood West as single-player and warns that it includes gore and brutal violence, with depictions of alcohol consumption. Epic labels it Mature 17+ and flags blood and gore, partial nudity, violence, alcohol use, and tobacco. Storefront content descriptors are useful screening information; review the platform’s full rating details if you need to assess suitability.
