It adds face-card skins inspired by eight games, including Warframe.
Is the Friends of Jimbo 3 update out now?
Yes. The original “drops later today” wording is outdated: Balatro’s official Steam announcement says Friends of Jimbo 3 is live and dates the announcement to December 12, 2024. The update is free and was announced for PC, consoles, and mobile. The announcement does not give separate platform release times or version numbers.
What does the update add?
Friends of Jimbo 3 is a cosmetic customization update, not a gameplay expansion. It adds face-card skins inspired by these eight games, as named in the Balatro announcement:
- Divinity: Original Sin 2
- Shovel Knight
- Potion Craft
- Enter the Gungeon
- Cult of the Lamb
- Don’t Starve
- 1000xRESIST
- Warframe
The announcement identifies the crossover inspirations but does not specify every skin’s character-to-card assignment. For Warframe, the game’s official announcement supplies that detail: Excalibur is the King, Mag the Queen, and Volt the Jack.
