This is a free-play offer for the released game—not a newly announced open beta. Steam lists the offer as ending October 12 at 1:00 a.m., but does not state the timezone.
When can you play ARC Raiders for free?
The official ARC Raiders website advertises free play from October 8–12, 2026. Steam’s listing says “Play for free until 12 Oct @ 1:00am.” Because Steam’s displayed text does not identify a timezone, check the live listing for the cutoff applicable to your account and location.
Is this an open beta?
No. The October 2026 promotion offers free access to ARC Raiders, which has already been released. The confusion is understandable: the game previously had public tests described as open tests, but those were separate events.
The 2025 Server Slam
In a September 22, 2025 post, Xbox Wire described the Server Slam as an “open pre-launch test” scheduled for October 17–19, 2025, on Xbox Series X|S. The full game’s Steam listing gives its release date as October 30, 2025.

An earlier planned playtest
Nexon’s 2024 investor presentation script also described a planned public Steam playtest for October 24–27, with console testing later. That was another historical test, not the current free-play offer.
Where can you play?
The official site links to Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and GeForce NOW. The announcement does not establish that the same free-play terms apply on every platform or in every region, so check the store or service you plan to use.

ARC Raiders is a multiplayer extraction adventure. Steam lists online co-op and cross-platform multiplayer, and says you can play solo or in parties of up to three. The official site describes cross-platform social play across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
