Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park launched on March 26, 2026. It adds Bellabel Park multiplayer attractions and new content in the main game, including Rosalina, Co-Star Luma, the Super Flower Pot, Dual Badges, and Koopalings boss courses. The much-discussed Pikmin connection is a brief trailer cameo—not an announced playable crossover.
What’s new in Super Mario Bros. Wonder Switch 2 Edition?
The Switch 2 Edition keeps the Flower Kingdom adventure at its center while adding new activities and features. Nintendo’s January 22 announcement introduced Bellabel Park, where players can take on co-op and competitive attractions. The Koopalings have also stolen the park’s treasure and fled into courses across the Flower Kingdom, bringing new boss encounters to the main game.
Bellabel Park and its plazas
Nintendo’s March 27 feature overview describes four areas to visit: Toad Brigade Training Camp, Local Multiplayer Plaza, Game Room Plaza, and Tour Plaza. The plazas offer a mix of group attractions, with both cooperative and competitive play.
Nintendo Philippines lists 17 Local Multiplayer Plaza attractions for up to four players and six Game Room Plaza attractions for up to 12. Those counts come from the Philippines product page and may not describe every market’s listing; see Nintendo Philippines’ product information for that regional detail.

New characters, power-up, and badges
Players can take control of Rosalina, with Co-Star Luma accompanying her, and use the Super Flower Pot transformation. The edition also adds Dual Badges, expanding the badge options available in play. Nintendo’s US product page lists Rosalina and Co-Star Luma, the Super Flower Pot, and new Koopalings boss courses among the edition’s additions.
What is the Pikmin crossover in Mario Wonder?
Nintendo Life’s March 10 trailer report identifies two Glow Pikmin from Pikmin 4 in the background of a Light Switch Mansion scene, around 3:17 in the overview trailer. It is a visual cameo: Nintendo’s cited feature descriptions do not announce a Pikmin mode, playable Pikmin, or a broader crossover feature.

Do I need to buy the upgrade pack if I own Wonder?
If you already own the original Super Mario Bros. Wonder for Nintendo Switch, the upgrade pack is the relevant route to the Switch 2 Edition content. It requires the full original game. New buyers can instead choose the full Switch 2 Edition, which includes the original Nintendo Switch game plus the upgrade pack, according to Nintendo’s US store listing.

How many players can play Bellabel Park?
Nintendo’s US product page distinguishes play by connection type. Single-system play supports one to four players; local wireless supports two to eight; and online play supports one to 12. Online play requires internet access and a Nintendo Switch Online membership under Nintendo’s stated terms. These are the US listing’s player ranges; individual Bellabel Park attractions may have their own player limits.

No. Nintendo announced three amiibo alongside the game: Elephant Mario, Poplin & Prince Florian, and Captain Toad & Talking Flower. Compatible amiibo can provide power-ups in courses or decorations for the Bellabel Park Camp Area; Nintendo says the amiibo are sold separately.

Nintendo also announced a separate physical Talking Flower product. Its described functions include button-activated speech, an alarm or wake-up time, a bedtime reminder, and comments on time and temperature. Nintendo’s January announcement listed it at $34.99 with availability beginning March 12, 2026 through Nintendo NEW YORK, Nintendo SAN FRANCISCO, My Nintendo Store, and select retailers.
