When the Street Fighter 6 demo launched
Capcom’s April 20, 2023 announcement scheduled the demo for April 20, 2023, on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, followed by April 26, 2023, on Xbox Series X|S and Steam. How to check whether you can download it now
- Open the official storefront for your platform: PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, or Steam.
- Search for Street Fighter 6 and look for a demo download option. On Steam, the official listing reviewed for this article displayed a demo entry point alongside the separate paid full game.
- Confirm the listing is for the demo before downloading. Store availability can vary by platform and region; current access on console stores and in every region is not established here.
What the demo lets you play
Capcom described the demo as a small preview of the full game. It includes a tutorial covering basic battle mechanics, character guides for Luke and Ryu, the opening portion of World Tour, and avatar creation. It does not include the complete game.
The full game has three main modes—World Tour, Fighting Ground, and Battle Hub—but that list describes the full release, not everything available in the demo. Capcom announced the full game for June 2, 2023; it is a separate paid product.

Can you transfer your demo avatar?
Capcom said a custom avatar created in the demo could transfer to the full game on the same platform after release. Keep the relevant save data if you want to use that avatar. The announcement does not establish transfer between different platforms.
