If Supermarket Together keeps crashing on PC, start with reversible checks: restart Windows, update Windows and your device drivers, verify the game’s Steam files, and temporarily close non-essential software. Then compare your PC with the game’s published requirements. These are general Steam troubleshooting steps, not guaranteed fixes for every crash. If it crashes while joining a friend, check that both players have the same game patch.

Start by identifying when the crash happens

Before changing anything, note whether Supermarket Together crashes at launch, during a solo session, while loading a lobby, or after a recent update. Record any error message and recent changes to Windows, drivers, or software. This pattern can help distinguish a launch problem from a multiplayer or update-related one.

  • Crashes while joining a friend: Check that both players have updated to the same patch. In an April 23, 2025 Steam Community reply about a specific lobby-crash report, developer DeadDevsTellNoLies recommended matching patches and offered to review logs. That advice addressed the reported case; it does not establish a universal cause or fix. Developer discussion
  • Crashes at launch or during play: Work through the general checks below, one at a time, so you can tell whether anything changes.

Try these troubleshooting steps in order

  1. Restart the PC. Save your work, restart Windows, then try launching the game again.
  2. Update Windows and device drivers. Install available Windows updates and check for current drivers for your PC’s devices, especially the graphics hardware. Steam recommends updating Windows and computer drivers for launch problems; the sources do not identify a particular driver version as a fix for this game. Steam launch troubleshooting
  3. Verify the game files in Steam. In Steam, open Library, right-click Supermarket Together, choose Properties, then Installed Files and Verify integrity of game files. Some Steam instructions and older descriptions label the relevant tab Local Files. Steam checks the installation and may replace files it finds damaged or missing. Steam file verification instructions
  4. Temporarily close non-essential software. Exit background applications that are not needed to run the game, then test again. Steam notes that some software can interfere with Steam or a game. If the crash stops, reopen applications one at a time to help isolate a conflict; restore anything you need afterward. Steam launch troubleshooting
  5. Compare your PC with the listed requirements. The Steam Support listing gives the following minimum and recommended configurations. These are the publisher’s stated specifications, not a guarantee that a PC meeting them will never crash. Supermarket Together on Steam
Component Minimum Recommended
Operating system Windows 10 Windows 10
Processor Intel Core i5 Intel Core i7
Memory 8 GB RAM 16 GB RAM
Graphics GTX 960 or equivalent GTX 1070 or equivalent
DirectX Version 12 Version 12
Storage 7 GB available 7 GB available

The game’s Steam listing also says performance depends partly on the props used to decorate the shop because decoration and lighting are not limited. It does not establish that decorations cause crashes or specify a prop count or hardware threshold that triggers one. Supermarket Together on Steam

If the crash continues, send the developer useful details

If the general checks do not help, Steam recommends contacting the developer. The game’s Steam Support page lists DeadDevsTellNoLies and an official support email. Supermarket Together Steam Support

Include when the crash occurs, what you were doing, whether it affects solo play or joining a lobby, any error message, and what troubleshooting steps you tried. If you can access the game’s logs, attach them. In the specific April 2025 lobby-crash discussion, the developer said primary logs could be copied using a button at the top-right of the main menu and invited the player to share secondary logs as well. That describes the reported case, so if you cannot reach the menu or find the button, say so rather than assuming the same log route is available in every situation.
