TFT patch 14.5, published by Riot Games on May 27, 2025, was a historical Cyber City update best known for its item overhaul: several core items were replaced or moved into the Artifact category. It also adjusted Cyber City traits and champions and separately changed Revival: Remix Rumble. This guide separates those modes and the dated May 28 and May 29 follow-ups. These notes do not establish today’s live set or current balance.
What changed in TFT 14.5?
Riot described 14.5 as a smaller Cyber City balance patch paired with a larger item update. The notes say the update replaced several core items and shifted some item concepts into the more powerful Artifact category. Riot said build paths should not be affected too much, while advising players to review the item changes. Riot’s 14.5 patch notes are the primary record.
The update also included Cyber City trait and champion balance changes, plus a separate group of changes for the returning Revival: Remix Rumble mode. Those are distinct sets of changes, not one shared balance update.
What items changed in TFT 14.5?
The patch highlights list six Radiant item entries and four new Artifacts: Flickerblade, The Indomitable, Statikk Shiv, and Titanic Hydra. Riot also notes that Anima Visage and Spite were removed and Wit’s End was changed. The item section of the official notes contains the full 14.5 stats and effects; those are patch-specific values, not a guide to current item strength.

The item overhaul is the clearest reason to be cautious with older build advice. An item may have been replaced, moved to the Artifact category, removed, or changed after the advice was written. Check the date and set context of any build recommendation before applying it.

Traits and systems
Among the traits Riot adjusted were Anima Squad, Exotech, Techie, A.M.P., Boombot, and Rapidfire. The notes also include system-level changes. Consult the official patch record for exact values and effects rather than treating a short list of highlights as the complete balance changelog.

Champions and fixes
Champion adjustments covered multiple cost tiers. The notes also record bug fixes, including a fix to Ziggs ability behavior. The patch page provides the specific champion changes and fixes; this historical summary does not imply those mechanics remain active in a later set.
Revival: Remix Rumble changes
Revival: Remix Rumble received its own trait, champion, and bug-fix changes in the same patch notes. These adjustments apply to that returning mode; they should not be read as Cyber City balance changes. For exact mode-specific details, use the Revival: Remix Rumble sections of Riot’s 14.5 notes.
May 28 and May 29 updates listed with patch 14.5
The patch-notes page includes dated follow-up material, so not every entry describes the initial update. On May 28, Riot listed an A-patch targeting Morgana Bastion, reducing Bastion defenses and the Bastion Emblem’s Armor/MR-to-AP conversion. The notes say the goal was to reduce the survivability of the strongest Bastion 6 version.
In that A-patch, Bastion Armor and MR changed from 18/40/75 + 30 to 18/36/70 + 25. Bastion Emblem Armor/MR-to-AP conversion changed from 20% to 15%. These are the May 28 adjustments recorded on the 14.5 page, not figures to assume apply today.

Riot’s 14.6 notes said the 14.5 item overhaul had “landed in a great spot” overall, while identifying Spirit Visage as a minor exception. In 14.6, Spirit Visage HP increased from 200 to 300. Sterak’s Gage shield changed from 60% to 50% of HP and its duration from 6 to 5 seconds. Riot also made a quality-of-life change to Void Staff.

That follow-up is useful context for how Riot assessed and tuned the overhaul, but it does not make the 14.5 item values current or establish present-day build recommendations.
